Seam at the sink is pretty typical since they are small areas .

That's a nicely done seam and it appears each side is on plane to each other. I made seams at my slide-in range deliberately. They are inconspicuous and if they ever fail, they will repair inconspicuously, unlike small rails that crack. Maybe that's what they were thinking at the cooktop. This appears to be within the range of fabricator discretion. I wouldn't worry about it.

I think I’d be more bothered by what appear to be missing chunks/roughness all along the front edge. Am I seeing that right or is it just the lighting?

That's a really beautiful quartz! It's unfortunate that there are three seams to draw your eye but, as long as they are on plane and tight, at least they are well done. Once your remodelling stress dissipates, I hope you will enjoy your beautiful countertops and sunny kitchen!

I was told by my fabricator that they try to put the seams in the sink area if possible.

Thanks for the feedback, I'm hoping the color difference at the join appears less after time. I'm admittedly in grump mode since there is still a lot to be done (and the contractor made it sound like there were only little things left).

Still a little baffled on the 2 seams at the cooktop though. At least the pieces are much better matched here than at the sink.

i am installing quartz with a Mila flushmount sink and the fabricator said he will be putting a seam in the sink area. Will this work with a flushmount sink? i will have one other seam at the 45 degree angle in my L shaped kitchen. should i be worried about a seam and flushmount? thank you!
