Comments (2)Sounds like a great spot for Annabelle Hydrangea. Mine blooms from June to frost. It's about the same size you described. Big blooms and easy to find. There's a couple of new versions of Annabelle.... Incrediball has a bigger bloom (nearly the size of a soccerball) and stronger stems. Invincibelle is a new Annabelle with pink blossoms. I have my Annabelles on the east side of my house and gets sun from dawn till about 1pm. Melissa...See MoreBuilding Next Week! Need Layout Advice!!
Comments (41)Some final rambling thoughts :) I want this space to be as functional as possible and open. 1. We're going to put a pocket door to have the option to close off the foyer if needed. This will allow us to close off the entire room, but still leave us the ability to open it for the pass through to foyer. Best of both worlds in my opinion :) 2. I think I'm really liking this "drop zone" space by the garage entry door. It will be great for my purse, charging cell phone and having some sort of cute/small mail sorter on the countertop. 3.Below the sink we can store detergent, stain remover etc for laundry needs. 4. If theres room I'd like to have an open space in a base cabinet to put a nice laundry basket (to bring clothes to put away in). Dirty hampers will be built ins as part of the master WIC (the bag is removable to bring to W & D). No dirty clothes will go in laundry area. 5.The broom closet will store the swiffer, steamer and wet & dry swiffer cloths. The hanging rod to air dry a few items. 6. The upper cabinets are for extra storage misc things. 7. Bench and hooks for jackets and bookbag. Cubbies above for hats, scarves and gloves. 8. Closet with double hanging will store winter, fall and guest coats as well as my boyfriends work bag can go on the floor in here. I'm getting excited!!!...See MoreAdvice needed...NOISY, inconsiderate neighbors next door.
Comments (50)It's nothing you can do about kids playing outside in daytime hours. It's legal so let that go. The one foot of your property on the other side of the fence? If you are that worried about damage to that strip then move your fence. You can't expect kids to stop playing one foot from their side of the fence. It's unreasonable. You can make it a taller fence so you're neighbor can't lean on it. Now the noise at night? That you can do something about. There are phone apps that show noise decibles. Record it with a video of the decible reading. First, be a decent person and go to the neighbor and say, hey, your music, banging, etc is easily audible at midnight and i need to wake up in the morning. Can you please lower it at night? If they don't, keep recording and notify the landlord. A landlord won't want a neighbor that causes noise complaints especially if you notify said landlord that the next step is small claims against *him* about his tenants behavior. They won't renew the lease. Now, i am not going to automatically assume they are low income weed smokers as someone else did here. That's jerk assumptions. Some people just grow up in louder cultures than others. However, renters tend to move on and worst come to worst you only have a year or two of it....See MoreBelated Mother's Day surprise, need advice please
Comments (146)First time poster on this thread. I'm imagining a little video montage of the kitchen remodel and big reveal, sprinkled with some of the posts here...it would make a great memory book! GO MORTARMIXER! :-) Btw, we have a 3-can lazy susan trash cabinet. No smell if we do as above posters recommend - empty regularly. Often, after I empty, I leave the door open to air out overnight. On trash and recycle day, I take out all 3 bins and wipe up the bottom, sides, underside of counter with the h2o / alcohol spray and paper towel. Easy Peezy....See MoreMary Lynn Crandall
