We need to see the space and understand what she likes which BTW might not have anything to do with what you like .If you want to keep the budget in check paint the walls a nice . neutral like white. Add color with bedding and pillows because next year the favorite things will be different I can guarantee. At 11 she is just figuring out what she likes and it takes time .Take her shopping with a $ 200 budget

Mary Tillios if you start your own thread people may have suggestions. Include pictures of all 4 walls of the room (the whole wall from corner to corner), a sketch of the room with wall sizes and location of doors and windows. Let us know what is staying (flooring? furniture?) and what will be bought new. Age of child. If the child doesn't have strong feelings it's best to get them to help them choose bedding they like, but and keep the walls etc neutral for changes as they age. But like you, I could never get my kids to show the slightest interest in their room decor.

So while she still likes having stuffies I need the room to be sophisticated enough to last through her teens. She had a small single bed in our old house and now has space for this luxurious queen and it was her choice. She picked the style, colour and fabric. We went through the RH teen bedrooms and she showed me what she liked. I haven’t put any decorative stuff on the walls yet but I have a pair of gold hanging mirrors for above the night stand. And gold frames in different sizes for the gallery wall. I am changing her light fixture as well which will be a gold finish so the accents will all come but didn’t want to put anything up until we painted.

Your wall paper seems to be well coordinated with the new paint colour. All you need are a few more changes to make the room more coherent and give it an updated look, and bring in some white to make everything stand out. Wayfair and Amazon have good pricing for upholstered headboard and accessories as well asIkea, Home Goods, TX Maxx, and such places. A few new throw pillows and the way you make your bed propping up pillows (instead of having them flat down) and place your throw will make a huge difference... If you are able to paint your bi-fold doors & frame in white would also make the room seem fresh instead of a dark mass.
