Privacy nook/corner in tween room
Comments (15)Thank you all for your suggestions! We ended up bringing in a couple of 3x3 cube organizers that we've used over the years in our girls' rooms, stacked them and attached a curtain rod across from the wall to the back of the top stack. I added a couple of diy curtain panels, cushions, and a carpet remnant and voila! Perfect little hideaway. She also has more storage/organization now too. We've never been able to get these cube organizers to work for our girls, but maybe now that everyone is a little older, it just might work for my youngest!...See MoreWindow treatment ideas around a radiator for little girl’s bedroom
Comments (8)I agree with Glo. I’d do inside mount roller shades. They’re cute, easy to use, allow your pretty window trim to show, and can be budget friendly. If you google ‘diy roller shades’ ... ‘diy roller shades girls room’ ... ‘no sew roller shades’, etc, lots of tutorials come up. They’d be great because you could pick the exact fabric/covering you want. First one I saw: https://thediymommy.com/make-a-no-sew-fabric-covered-roller-shade/ ________ I like something like these, too (they can be embellished with cute trim, etc), but they might be pricier than you want, since you have four windows to do. https://www.blinds.com/p/bali-light-filtering-roller-shade/500969...See MoreHelp! Comments (27)Just wondering if bed would go on wall where dressers are and either tall boy or dresser with mirror placed between windows. Is there another wall for the second piece? Would she like a wall hanging and there are tutorials on line as well as lots of combinations. Gives her something interesting to work on, inexpensive and she will have made a contribution to her room. Somewhat whimsical and given the lights around ceiling, thought she might like the idea In regards to lamps, think about complimentary vs the same andTarget has these cute ones at good prices....See MoreVintage girls room - need ideas and paint color
Comments (25)It might help you to think of these colours slightly differently. All white paints readily available to us belong to an identifiable Hue Family. And there are whites to be found in every Hue Family. Choosing a white paint from the same Yellow Hue Family as the furniture, will mean they are related. They will each share a degree of Hue Parent colour DNA. Whites from the same Hue Family aren’t likely to make the furniture feel any more yellow than it already is. And certainly more colourful colours, from the Yellow Hue Family will make the furniture feel more neutral. This is only helpful though, if you like more of that colour around. Have a look at The Land of Color, Color DNA table and Colorographies . They includes lots of popular whites, off-whites, near neutrals and colourful colours which belong to the Yellow Hue Family. Some will feel obviously related to yellow. Others will likely be a surprise. More colourful colours/off-whites have more Chroma. More neutral colours/whites have less Chroma. If you sample, view one colour, next to the furniture & it still feels too neutral? Then you are looking for a colour with a higher Chroma. It helps you to filter out those which don’t fit the bill. Here are a couple of examples. Look at the degree of Chroma to see which is more neutral, which is more colourful. #huefamilies...See Morechocolatebunny123
