I'm far from professional - not even a serious hobbyist - but one trick to getting more accurate colors is to learn how to use the manual white balance on your camera, if you have it. Even my point and shoot lets me do that, and it can make a big difference. Also, I'm guessing that a lot of the professionally taken photos use HDR, or high dynamic range. They take multiple exposures, with a range of under and over exposed, then combine them using software. That way the lighter areas and the darker areas can be exposed correctly in the same image. In the photo threebees posted, for example, the view out the window isn't an overexposed glare, but you can still see the detail in the shadows on the floor. You can get a headboard the same color as the dresser, and match the night stands with it. And based on the photo below, you can use the grays tones instead of the green. dark gray sheets and lighter gray on the walls, with some decoration in wood style. And do the decorations on the blue that she wants, with pillow, a rug, curtains...

Those Pax wardrobes are fabulous storage options. I'd go with white, for sure. The Pax didn't work in our bedroom but I think it's partly because they were at the entrance of the room. Surrounding the window as you have it in your layout would work heaps better. They look great in Lyfia's pics. I'm also short and feel claustrophobic with tall furniture so that's my bias.

@Olychick- I tried it over there but bc the desk is higher than the other nightstand , it looked weird to have the higher piece closer to the door Where you walk in and the lower piece farther away...so I switched it . Its a small room so I feel like the desk should go back to its original position. High Shelves in place of the desk will put way too much furniture in a small room . But honestly - design isnt my thing
