Comments (18)We're planning a closet -- typical hall closet size -- that'll have a lock instead of a doorknob; thus, it'll be accessible only to me and my husband. This closet'll have shelves top to bottom, and maybe basket type shelves on the inside of the door for bows, ribbons and so forth. The closet will serve a couple purposes: - gun safe - purchased-ahead gifts - gift wrap - a small amount of cash that we keep on hand As for buying ahead, I do pretty well with it. It's rare that I buy something that just sits around forever and ends up at Goodwill. When I wrap things, I just do basic wrap and use a sticky note to remind me what the item is. I add the bow at the last minute so that I can stack boxes without messing up th wrappers. I like the idea of putting your gift wrap items near the dining room. Practical and efficient....See MorePictures of the Baptism gown
Comments (10)THanks so much. My mother keeps telling me I should go into business doing this but I'm afraid that if I "had" to do it, it wouldn't be fun anymore. Not to mention that I have 4 young kids to raise. I've made gowns for my friend's when they had babies but they were all gifts. So this is my first "paid" job....See MoreBaby Boy Baptism gift ideas
Comments (7)It sounds like you have a large extended family, I do too and it can be hard to keep up with the gift giving events some years ;). If you want to give an actual something and not a gift card, I don't think you can go wrong with a book. Children need books, if only to be held and read to. They don't take up a lot of space in a young family's smaller home, and you can write a thoughtful message inside the cover, sign and date it. If it survives the childhood it may just become a lifetime keepsake. I have a couple of cloth books that were mine as a baby, they'll be 65 yrs old next month :)...See MoreNeighbour's gift(s)
Comments (4)You are really going to enjoy Arizona aren't you? No snow, no ice and hopefully no falls. You are luckier than either myself or my son with your falls. Hopefully you can stay on your feet the rest of he winter. We sure hope to stay on ours. Couldn't go to church Christmas Sunday nor Christmas eve as our short little drive was blocked. The man who said he would open it, didn't, and we kept expecting him. Finally Christmas afternoon, we found someone else. I was terribly disappointed, especially for Christmas eve. Have a great New Years., and stay on your feet....See MoreAnnie Deighnaugh
