Furniture Placement in Living Room - Help Needed
Comments (7)You're welcome, my pleasure. I mentioned wall mounting tv on an angling arm, and there are various types of arms available, depending on your needs. 'TV extension arms' would extend the tv out to mitigate the distance, these arms are also available with varying angling capabilities One example: [https://www.houzz.com/products/pdx650-full-motion-mount-for-37-75-tvs-black-prvw-vr~29971748[(https://www.houzz.com/products/pdx650-full-motion-mount-for-37-75-tvs-black-prvw-vr~29971748) This mount would extend tv out about 2 feet, and is pretty streamlined, with tv being able to sit 2'' from wall when mount is pushed back, so that's a nice feature. Just one example, and there are arms that extend out further than this one, lots of options available to suit your specific needs. I like the idea of wall mounting tv on an arm - but another good option could be using a mobile tv console, and if you like industrial styling, at all - there are a ton of wheeled options, in that style category, alone. So with either wall mounting on extension arm, or using a mobile console, your boys should be able to move the tv, versus having to move their seating... although, they could do a combination of both - if it's more comfortable, etc. I love that second light fixture, also. So many fun styles in the Sputnik type of design. :)...See MoreHelp with new furniture & placement for living room and family
Comments (10)Well we have bought the craftsman and there are lots we like about it but i mainly want to create a foyer so it doesn’t walk straight in to living room. it would only let me load 3 images. The wall to take down or half with some craftsman type pillars is to the right of the front door or left from the fireplace right by the front door on first image....See MoreLiving room furniture placement
Comments (47)You have a nice large space there and just some rearranging can solve your dilemma. You have some great pieces there that would look even better with a bit of tweaking. I've arranged all your furniture pieces slightly differently to add a corner reading space with one armchair. I'd remove the slim console you have under the TV and move it towards the window. You could add a different media cabinet there or just wall mount your TV. As @Flo Mangan says, your mirror is too large for that wall and I'd definitely recommend moving it elsewhere. I'd also recommend you bring in some color to your space by adding a colored rug and coordinating pillows on your couches. I think a bright Persian rug would look great and really would elevate the room. Here's an example. You could also add some indoor plants and play around with the positions of the art on your walls. You can view your designs inphotoreal 3D here. you can create your own layouts by adding various pieces of furniture and moving them around in your interactive 3D here....See MoreFurniture placement for living room with 5 entries and fireplace
Comments (10)Weighing in because our living room has a very similar layout! We made it trickier by hanging a TV on hte wall across from the fireplace because we want to use it for movie nights and sports too. We have two couches facing each other in the mdidle of the room with two chairs angled in front of the fireplace facing in towards the middle of the room. We also have two consoles on the sides of the opening towards the library (seriously, same layout as y'alls!) but our walls there don't have interior windows. On the end of the room farthest from th elibrary, we've squeezed a game table. Not sure if you have the space - would help if you just left that one door to the sunroom closed....See MoreMeganAnn.McIntosh@gmail.com
