Roof color for light yellow siding and blue shutters
Comments (24)Certainly! IRL slate has green flecks to it. My samples (larger ones where they have a few real shingles on a board vs. a tiny sliver) look as if fox hollow is way too light. Pewter looks too dark to my eye. Oyster Gray is supposedly "less blue" than Pewter. Pewter has flecks that are just slightly blue to them but it is not easy to detect. To me, it looks like on the samples I have that Fox Hollow has lots of the light colored flecks, oyster has a medium amount, and some of those same light flecks are on pewter but it is much darker. But apparently Oyster is really not a popular option and would require a trip to another place to buy the shingles vs. Home Depot. The only other one I kind of like is weathered wood. THere's a house down the road with yellow siding and a darker (like pewter I think) roof and I'm not super wild about it. It is a colonial, but has a wrap around porch so more visible roof, which might be part of it I guess. My colonial has simple rooflines, no porch overhang (no lower roof on main part of the house). I have a 2 car garage out the back of the house (drive around to it) and have a room off the side of the house visible from the street (a vaulted ceiling family room). Comments (2)It is the material. It isn't used terribly much. It makes me nervous, but my husband is sold and his cousin who has been in the siding/window business for almost 30 years says he thinks it is the best product. It only rusts if it is scratched and you don't seal the scratch. I looked at some rental properties of someone who has the product. The property was 16 years old and looked very new. I did see a few scratches, but even they weren't rusty. Photoshop would be nice! My roof does have some red in it. It is more of a bronze-brown. It is hard for me to work with as I don't see it on many houses, so it's harder for me to picture with different colors. Here is the house in the sun last summer if that makes the roof color more clear. Darn perfectionism....I'm so lenient with the choices of others, but mine have to be perfect......See MoreSiding/roof color for my home
Comments (32)The trim was too hard to capture, but here's colors that include the roof & Garage door. All colors are posted in order of Siding, Shutters, Roof, Garage Brush Blue, Ambler Slate, Geddy Gray, Geddy Gray Finnie Gray, Randolph Gray, Mop Board Black, Carter Gray Gettysburg Gray, Georgian Brick, Middlebury Brown, Sparrow Mineral Alloy, Cheating Heart, Cheating Heart, Timber Wolf And just for fun, I colored the brick, but please don't think I'm suggesting you paint it, because I'm not, I was just having some fun with it. :c)...See MoreHelp with roof color, stone veneer over brick, siding color
Comments (39)Your property is so beautiful i can see why you live it. Your home looks like 80s contemporary style. Your brick is fine. The roof change is key. I don’t agree with metal roof for this style home. That look is more country, or traditional/farmhouse look. Not right for your home imo. I would recommend Weathered Wood HD by GAF Timberline shingle. Then once it is on, a nice coordinating color for trim and gutters etc will evolve. Your front door is hidden so select color for that last. A deep gold might look good. A dark color won’t do much for your front facade. So start with roof....See MoreTems
