Need help with roof, siding, window colors on pool/guest house
Comments (2)Nice that you are willing to pay for good advice, it saves in the long run I've found out. Have you checked through house for a pro in your area? That's how I found my architect several years ago and she was fabulous! i loved her work shown on Houzz....See MoreWhat color should I do for my siding and roof?
Comments (2)Your house looks good. Very nice landscaping, too. Lighting around house and on grounds would be nice enhancements, if you need to add there. If you would like to see how different colors, etc. could work on your house, I recommend this company. https://www.houzz.com/professionals/specialty-contractors/creative-visual-concepts-kevin-strader-pfvwus-pf~1325968788...See MoreSiding, roof, shutter colors on orange brick house
Comments (22)Thanks Maureen! I don't intend to paint the brick or porch. If we redo the porch in the future, we'd get a non-red color. As for the mulch, I'm definitely planning dark. Maybe a dark brown, maybe a black. I think cypress might pull too much of the red? Not sure. We also planted a row of tall white daisies all along the front of the porch to help break up the red. We were able to match the grays in person with Mastic Victorian Grey so that is what we have ordered. We will have shake style on the front gable and traditional horizontal siding on the gables on the sides and back. We need to finalize roof and shutter colors. I am about 80% sure we are going with the landmark pro moire black roof. I get what you're saying about the shutters, but there does appear to be discoloration behind them. I'm thinking board and batten style shutters in medium grey. Then I'll be looking into the trim and door painting. Thinking white trim (currently cream) and a bright tealy blue for the door....See MoreNeed help choosing roofing/siding/colors for house with Mansard roof
Comments (7)No brown roof on that house. It wont look good with the brick. The charcoal color it is now, is perfect, and I would redo it with the same color it is. No, dont paint the brick. Why take something maintenance free and turn it into maintenance. The shutters could be a bit darker than wht they are. I agree with above, your house right now is perfect for the style of the house. Do not muddle up, what already works very well. Put your money on something else, or just bank it and enjoy what you already have, which is a very well done exterior....See Morek9arlene
