Size of pendant lights over island.....
Comments (4)I think one might be too few. Did you see this picture on the PB site that someone posted in reviews of the lights in their space? Their island looks like it might be the same size as yours. Theirs is clear so it visually takes up less space, but I think two will look nice over your island....See MorePendant light size and quantity for 10ft island. Please help :-)
Comments (4)I agree with Ms. Colwell re: non paper shades in a kitchen. Too much potential for grease/dust meaning almost impossible to adequately clean. Glass or metal shades are better choices for kitchens that incur heavy cooking/baking....See MoreIsland Pendant Light Sizing
Comments (4)Lucky, my kitchen ceilings are 12 ft. I'm going with two pendants, and I prefer they be a wider diameter. I hope to find some to warm up the kitchen. The 24" tile is soft gray, the perimeter cabinets are white, the island cabinets are soft gray, and the hardware is satin nickel. (The builder's design center had no brass options at the time.) In the adjacent great room, there is a white sectional, colorful rug (blue, orange, beige, teal, gold) a brushed silver buffet used beneath the tv hanging on the wall, dark coffee (metal) and end tables, and a whitewashed sofa table with orange lamps. The kitchen is so stark. It needs pendants that make a statement without being flashy....See MoreWhat size pendant lights over island 108" x 54" - prefer 2 oversize
Comments (2)Some photos are attached. Island top is 108" x 54", waterfall top, honed black pearl granite. White cabinets. Ceilings flat 9'. Kitchen is open on 2 sides. Need advice on size of pendants if using two oversize pendants. I'm thinking width somewhere in 24" - 36" range depending on height, shape etc... I don't want them to look too big nor too small. I can use 3 pendants also, not set on 2 or 3, not sure. There are photos below of the type of pendants I'm leaning toward as of today but I'm open. The backsplash and hood behind it will be a pretty bold porcelain and I don't want to distract from that either (photos below)....See MoreSandy Kat
