New member of our family, Fergus
Comments (14)Hi Fergus - my name is Ozzie, or at least that's what my new Mum calls me. She is off doing some silly human thing, so I am trying this keyboard thing out. She gets mad when I try to put my opinion in when she's here, so now I have me chance!! Do you like cuddling? I do, especially when Mum cuddles me to her chest and I can feel her heart beat. It's too slow and I worry about her, but she comes home with such amazing food, it must be because she's tired. Do you like to chase leafs?? I love to do that....also to climb trees and fences.....spring is so much fun....I am so glad Mum and Midnight and Nici and Syl moved into my house. The other people and cats didn't let me come in, or share their food. Syl is very old, but lets me curl up with her; Midnight doesn't like me much at all, but Nici is my best bud!!! He is teaching me about living inside, and how to be on my best behaviour. I'm not good at that yet... but am trying very hard - maybe we could have a play-date??? I/ve heard that's what they do in polite society. I'll send you a photo soon....your in kittenhood, Ozzie....See MoreMy new anti-vole weapon, I hope, I hope!!!
Comments (13)Teresa emailed me and asked me to post her pics. of the hawk that landed on her deck railing! She's having some problems getting Photobucket to cooperate with her, it appears!! :o) He may be *shopping* but it looks like he might be a vegetarian, instead of a vole hunter! Looks like he's eyeing her tomatoes pretty intensely,to me!!!! Good shots, Teresa---if you look closely at the second one, you can even see the glint in his eye!! I think he was messing with ya! LOL I'm not happy about hawks in my yard!! I love my chips and squirrels and my new little dog, more than those agreeably beautiful creatures of prey!!! I always chase them off, telling them to go *graze* in someone else's restaurant--not mine!!! I know--not the politically correct stance to take in a world of environmentalism gone manic!! I'm all for the balance as per the design, but I also appreciate the fact that I can manage my environment, responsibly, without making it more the priority than human beings and their quality of life and health!!! I'm only adding this to avoid any bashing from those who think some life creature forms are more privileged than others! I am all for their doing what they are designed to do, but if I can protect what I value most on my little 1/2 acre--I will with no guilt!! :o) No question about it--hawks are pretty awesome creatures--just enjoy them most in open fields! Now---if I have a plague of voles--I just might change my mind--I have that right, too, you know!!! ;o)...See MoreWelcoming new members to our family
Comments (81)Sure arjay! I bought our kitty condo from overstock and am very pleased with it. It was reasonably priced, very easy to assemble and once I attached the bobbles to it, the girls took to it immediately. They love it and use it all the time. Unlike a lot of them this is not covered in carpet, but in fleece which is great as it doesn't rip out or shred like carpet does and it's much softer....See MoreMore bad news for our family.
Comments (26)What an ongoing trail of misery that your family has been treading for most of a year, Pattico! Sometimes it seems as though trouble gets piled on trouble! May God's grace be with all of you through this difficult time. Please offer my congratulations and good wishes to Dale and his new bride. I hope that they may have some of that famous/infamous "quality time" together while his life continues on this earth and visible to us and that his new wife may feel his spirit present with her for some time following his passing out of our sight. old joyful...See Moremamapinky0
