I bet some people would have no problem telling GW to "stick it". I almost feel like I am ok with a welcome sticky that periodically sinks. We have a board sticky now that has stayed very close to the very top for 18 days. That is king of the hill to me. I think we already own the high ground without GW sanction. If we were NYC police we would not be arresting anybody or writing any tickets. It feels more: of the people. I'm happy with it. If it, our flag, ever sinks, you or anybody can repost the exact same or same with updates. I guess we can tell if it is working by people's first posts showing they have a working knowledge of vermicomposting or at least know, I don't know, anything about the subject, thus getting a better first question so we can actually help them a lot quicker and more effectively. A GW sanctioned sticky is now starting to feel like GW is from New Jersey and a sanctioned sticky (only one allowed!?!?) is starting to feel like cement overshoes.

Yes, that 1st one is Custard Candy. Posting frustration, I really did not think it would work, and this one did not act like it was going to work. The Westbourne has been here about 5 years and a has really been a good one. It looks like this a lot of the time, full of lovely wide open perfect blooms. If only it were a bit taller, blooms are barely out of the foliage. It still attracts a lot of attention. Sherry, sailing at Dawn is beautiful, it has had a few splotchy blooms this year, I don't remember the problem last year. Celeste, I when Katrina Heroes opened I could not find the tag. It opened with several blooms, and has 7 scapes, I have been going crazy trying to remember what it was and where it came from. Finally found tag yesterday, right up against the plant, must have grown a lot. It has at least 7 fans, so the size got me. Every bloom has been absolutely beautiful. SAILING at Dawn opens well here, but I think you would get the splotches. Mant, this is as close as my phone will get, it REFUSES to let me change, Sailing at Dawn is about 24" tall here, I can handle that, although I planted it behind some taller ones and need to move it. The Westbourne is always this height, not way into the foliage, but barely. If the plant did not do so well... Maryl, I got Dixie last spring, it bloomed, and it rebloomed. We had a mean winter here, no snow cover, then crazy warm, then cold spring. Some daylilies noticed, but not that one, seems to be handling our humidity lately well too. I think you will like it. Considering all the ruffles, it dies not hang up, but some ruffles fall over the flower and I don't care for that.

Anyone know about chronically EARLY people? I have a friend who has been at least one hour early for each event at my house for 25 years. Drives me nuts. I'm not ready yet! Geesh. She had a wonderful childhood (only child if that matters) and claims to not have learned how to walk until over 2 years old because her feet never touched the ground she likes to say, as the entire family had to hold her all the time. She does not arrive early to help with set up, but just hangs around and talks the whole time. While backwards from this topic, I am curious if anyone has any insight into this. She's quite proud of her early arrivals--even shows up to work an hour early each day and chastises the rest of the staff (to me) for arriving at work at their designated start time. As to chronically late contractors, yes, I've dealt with this and it makes me fume. I've heard every excuse imaginable. One contractor was so lazy, late, otherwise discombobulated it took him 1 1/2 years to build a small bathroom 120 sq ft onto the rear of my house. His most used excuses for being late or not showing up were: I pooped my pants on the way to your house (then would not show up for work), or my boat sank and I have to scuba to get it up off the floor of the lake. Right.
