I love iced coffee. Found this recipe years ago and have enjoyed it since.

3/4 cup cold brewed coffee

3T sweetened condensed milk

1/2 cup milk

Stir well and serve over ice.

Yes, I like it, but No, I don't make my own. DH brought home an iced latte for me just yesterday, he often carries a coffee drink back for me when meeting his friends for early coffee. Starbucks.

Yes, I like it.....but not as much as I like iced tea :-) And no, I don't make it myself. Will pick up one every now and again at Starbucks. An iced Americano or less often, an iced latte. No sugar, no flavors, no thanks!!

I did not like it at all when I was younger, but I love an iced sugar free vanilla latte now and then. Will have to try your recipe, Mamapinky.

I have been making keto coffee at home which really isn’t much different. You could do the same, just mix with a stick blender or such to emulsify and it would make a bit frothy.

I rarely drink coffee (although coffee ice cream is my favorite) but sometimes I will want it. Might have been last summer, the grocery had one brand of almond milk iced coffee flavor on special so I bought a carton -- Oh it was so good and refreshing! I went back for more but all gone, and haven't seen it since.

Can't believe you asked this, because I have a new FAVORITE drink, and I'm not a coffee drinker, or at least, I wasn't. I call it my protein coffee, and friend who lost 80 lbs swears by it.

Premier Protein Caramel Drink (the liquid protein drinks--Costco, Walmart, Target, Amazon). About 1/4 or 1/2 cup.

I put a dash of something sweet in it, usually Splenda or International Delight creamer.

8-12 oz of coffee

Lots of ice in a nice double-walled large sipping container.

I wish I liked coffee....but I don't like it iced or otherwise. I also don't like anything that is coffee flavored....like ice cream. I do, however, put a few drops of coffee in my roast gravy. You can't taste the coffee but it gives it a deeper, richer flavor. Likewise, for a particular chocolate cookie that I make. I do like tea....both hot, with sugar, and unsweetened, iced.

Love real coffee, black. Love iced tea, plain, no sugar. Like coffee ice cream and other treats. Iced coffee? No, not at all.

That's the only way I drink coffee or a Frappuccino. I make my Frappuccino at home using crushed ice. I use a sugar free dairy free dark chocolate mocha syrup in mine. It's the same brand that some coffee shops use. There's a variety of those types of syrups in lots of different flavors.

I have never tried ice coffee. I have a cup in the morning and that is all for the day. My husband does not drink hot coffee or any other hot drinks. His coffee for the morning is Mountain Dew.

Marilyn, did I ever thank you for the coffee gravy tip? I've started doing that with mine but I keep a small container of instant coffee granules here and use a pinch or two of those. I'd added to chocolate desserts, but the gravy tip was new to me - and it works. So, thank you!

Nickel, if your making this today I forgot to say...more or less of the condensed milk and milk won't hurt it a bit. Lol.

My daughter loves iced coffee yet she's not a coffee drinker. Shes severely lactose intolerant. I think I'll make her one using Lactaid milk and add some sweetener (sugar). Do you all think almond milk would make it richer, more creamy??

I don't remember posting it before, but if I did, I am glad you like it. I also use instant coffee granules because I don't ever have regular coffee on hand.

Mamap, your recipe is very similar to Thai iced coffee. They add a few cardamon pods. It's yummy!

Kroger's Private Selection brand of coffee ice cream is very good. I could eat it everyday.

I found this recipe years ago somewhere but I'm thinking online. I have it wrote down as Vietnamese iced coffee.

I make my own cold brew for it. I use whatever ground coffee I have but I'm sure grinding the beans at home would be better. I put 1 cup coffee grounds in large canning jar, add 4 cups cold water and stir gently to wet all the grounds. Put a lid on and let sit on the counter 24 hours. Strain well. I use a flour sack towel to strain. Store in frig.

Oh, you're right, mamap. It's Vietnamese iced coffee. We have it at a Vietnamese restaurant. I looked up the recipe as Thai iced coffee and thought I just never
noticed the cardamon in it when we have it at the restaurant. They put cardamon in it at the Thai restaurants and also in their tea. I prefer the Vietnamese version because I don't like cinnamon type spices in drinks.

Not a coffee drinker at all. I really get annoyed when a restaurant uses the same filter holder to brew iced tea. I can taste it and it ruins it entirely for me.

I do like coffee flavored things like mocha cake and ice cream. I also learned the add coffee to gravy from my own mother.

To me, iced coffee is simply the way I drink my hot coffee, except cold and with ice. I cannot even swallow coffee with sweetener in it - of any kind. My hot coffee is simply with a bit of milk. And that's the only way I can drink iced coffee - with ice and a bit of milk.

Iced coffee doesn't automatically have sweetened condensed milk or any other type of sweetener in it. It all depends upon what a person likes. So yes, I love iced coffee - in the (almost) pure sense. Milk only. To me, anything with any "recipe" or kind of sweetener is simply an iced coffee drink, not iced coffee.

For you ice tea drinkers I also love ice tea. I drink it daily. Once in awhile sweet with sugar but mostly unsweetened or occasionally with Splenda. I cold brew it also. I like to buy the big gallon jugs of drinking water for a buck. Slip in 8 tea bags, shake gently and put in frig a few hours than remove tea bags. Do not wring out the tea bags that's what makes it bitter. Yum.

Truthfully I enjoy it the most SWEET with lots of ice.

Marilyn_c, I learned to put coffee in my pork chop gravy from my grandmother (born in Southeast KY in 1899). Unfortunately - or maybe fortunately - I didn't learn how to fry chicken the way she did!

There is red eye gravy, where you put coffee in it....made after frying a ham slice. I make roast gravy by taking the drippings from the roast, removing as much of the fat as possible...usually by putting an ice cube in it, so the fat will collect on the ice cube. Then I use a little bit of cornstarch in some water to thicken it. I may also add some beef broth, if I don't feel like there is enough broth. After I thicken it with corn starch and it is very glossy, I add a little bit of coffee and about a teaspoon or less of ketchup.

I learned to make it that way from a lady I worked for when I was in high school. She had a little restaurant and had a different plate lunch every day. Her roast beef was the best. It was rolled and tied with a string and she roasted it....on a rack in the oven....not stewing in liquid. That is the way I make roast and roast gravy.

I love Chick Fil A's iced coffee with half the syrup. Tried Starbucks on Sunday because Chick Fil A was closed and it was so bitter I couldn't drink it. I should have known better, their regular coffee is awful. I do make it at home sometimes with decaf coffee, a little sugar and milk over ice.

My iced coffee is normally my second cup poured over ice with nothing added to it. Occasionally I do have a craving for milk added like this morning. I did not have any milk so dug out one of those packages of 3 and 1 instant coffee and simply added it to cool tap water.

Back when I was single I would often have a ice cream float made with coffee and lots of coffee ice cream. Sometimes I put so much ice cream in it that it was more of a stirred shake than a float.

I enjoy an ice cap made in the blender with brewed coffee, brown sugar, a bit of vanilla extract, coconut milk and lots of ice served in an icy cold prechilled mason jar mug.

My canning jars for drinking are disappearing. My son stops in daily makes a coffee and takes it with him. I am always relling him no more coffee unless you return my jars. He brews a strong cup adds a bunch of sugar and lots of milk over ice. Tomorrow I'll tell him I'm out of coffee until he returns my jars. Lol.

Once a year. Believe it or not! I quit having caffeine many years ago, but I miss it, so every summer I cold brew double strength coffee and make coffee ice cream, and mix them together. It's heaven.

Mornings I have one, sometimes two, cups of coffee with just powdered creamer, no sugar, no flavorings. (Much as I love coffee, I have never been able to drink it black.)

I had been buying those bottles of Starbucks Frappuccinos in the grocery store, when one day a couple of years ago I realized I could make a reasonable facsimile a heck of a lot cheaper! And have a lot more favors. So now, on these hot, HOT afternoons, I enjoy my own version of iced coffee, no real recipe though.

I fill my tall, insulated Yeti type tumbler with ice, add refrigerated coffee if I have it, room temperature if I don't, to within about an inch or so of the top of the ice. Add some cream, and some flavored liquid coffee creamer, stir, taste, and adjust amounts of whatever until it has the taste I want. I like a dark roast coffee, and I brew it pretty strong. My usual brand is either Dunkin Donuts' "Turbo" or their dark roast. I never thought about using sweetened condensed milk, may have to try that sometime. I like the iced coffee to be a just little sweet, with a only little bit of flavor. If I add enough of either to get it too the 'lightness' I want, it would be way too sweet or the flavor too overpowering, My current favorite flavors are caramel macchiato and amaretto. At one time, when I first started making my own, I probably had almost every flavor of liquid coffee creamer there is on hand. Now I usually keep two different flavors on hand.

Oh, and I use the tall, slim, Yeti type tumbler because they don't sweat, and keep the iced drink iced for many hours. Or they would if the drink lasted that long. . . . .

I like Starbucks Iced Espresso ... Cafe Mocha or Molten Chocolate Latte. A 40 oz. bottle is less than most single drinks at Starbucks or my favorite local coffee house. Add crushed ice and you have a nice summertime treat.

I just order a decaf iced latte, or iced decaf coffee and add my own milk at the milk bar. Flavoring or sweetener? Bleh! I don't like to drink out of plastic, however, nor drink it with a straw, so I always order it in a paper cup. I don't care for cold brewed coffee; it's too "smooth" or something, missing some of the bite of coffee to me.

Someone up thread said they don't drink it because too many calories? No more calories in iced coffee than hot coffee.

I haven't made home made iced coffee since I started Keto. My recipe called for strong cold coffee, simple syrup and half and half. It was so delicious I would drink too much of it.

Oh Debby, that reminds me...a few years ago I made Pioneer Woman's recipe for iced coffee where you steep it overnight so it's really strong with cream and sugar. It was so good that I quickly drank 3 big glasses of it then went to work. And I was sitting at a light and I felt like my heart was stopping! It was the scariest thing ever. I guess I'm sensitive to caffeine lol. It was really good though!

I love iced coffee but just plain black coffee, no sugar syrups or no cream. I freeze black coffee into ice cubes and keep some in my freezer to add to a brewed coffee that has cooled off. Once in a while at night I might add a bit of Bailey's but that is not an often occurence
