Do you enjoy Indian cuisine?
Comments (26)Just had butter chicken for dinner! Not at/from a restaurant -- it's a frozen dinner from Wegmans grocery store (based in upstate New York but spreading slowly). Love this version; Trader Joe's has one, too, as well as some other types. Chicken tikka masala, as chloecat said, is pretty mild, compared with other dishes. Just ask the waiters to gauge any dish on a "hot" scale for you (like 1-5, 5 being the hottest), and ask whether it's dry or in a sauce (in case you're not a 'sauce' person. Chicken tikka masala and butter chicken are in sauces.) Some of the battered vegetable/potato appetizers --somosas, for instance -- can be quite spicy. Of course, a good way to test several dishes is to see if the new restaurant has a lunchtime or weekend buffet....See MoreYou enjoy lemon flavors? You enjoy almonds?
Comments (11)I found them at Sprouts.. They said they are their big seller in nuts I did look up lemon creme almonds and sure you can find them elsewhere. I'll stick with Sprouts cause they are so close to me and that's where I came across them the first time and purchased them. :o) You will find what's left from my purchase on the front seat of the car, as I dare not bring the rest in, tonight....See MoreWhat music do you enjoy?
Comments (61)I can't even remember all of the concerts I've been to, but the first was Dave Clark Five. Next I saw the Rolling Stones, then a Dick Clark Caravan of Stars (many groups) The Beach Boys, Led Zeppelin, Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin, James Gang, Grateful Dead, Quicksilver Messenger Service, Moody Blues, Elton John, Ten Years After, Procol Harum, John Mayall, Crosby Stills Nash & Young, Jefferson Airplane, The Who (twice), Hot Tuna, The Tubes, Jefferson Starship, Nina Hagen, Stray Cats, Orchestral Maneuvers, The Clash, U2, English Beat, Romeo Void, The Cure, Flock of Seagulls, Bryan Ferry, Pete Shelley, Killing Joke, Love and Rockets, Oingo Boingo, Red Hot Chili Peppers, The Crystal Method, Human League, Blondie, Stereo MC, Echo and the Bunnymen, Peter Gabriel, Grace Jones, Jane's Addiction, David Byrne, Air, K.C. & the Sunshine Band, Gang of Four, plus others that slip my mind at the moment. A good portion of these I saw in San Francisco, which was a great place for concerts. I started in San Antonio and then Houston before I moved to SF. I've seen a fair number in L.A. also, but I haven't been to any concerts in quite a few years now. I used to go every other week (or more often) in San Francisco in the 1980s. I used to live next door to the Tubes at one time, and I also lived down the street from Jello Biafra of the Dead Kennedys just before I left SF....See MoreIced Coffee (why do we need 15 characters?)
Comments (24)I agree with Debby. Hot coffee cooled isn't nearly as good as cold brewed. I put coffee grounds in a canning jar (quart) fill with cold filtered water stir very gently just to get the water into the coffee, add a lid and put in frig or counter for 12 to 24 hours. Strain well but don't press out the coffee. Store in frig. Debby have you tried a few Tablespoons of sweetened condensed milk along with the regular milk or cream? Its soooo good and even more creamy. I think its called Vietnamese iced coffee when adding the sweetened condensed milk. I don't add flavorings to mine....See Moremamapinky0
