Original poster here--it was not happening with just a new can of paint--it was happening with the bottom of one can of paint and with a brand new can, too. I find that I can get good results with ProClassic only when using a ton of extender. It works pretty easily on thin trim pieces, but you have to be so careful with doors, and the only way is to take the doors completely off, lay them flat, use a ton of extender (till the paint is almost like water) and then use A LOT of paint so when you come back to feather through it is still wet enough to not streak and clump. Even still you can't get a perfect job. Well today I am painting the front of an exterior door, and they recommended I used All Surface Enamel. It is a revelation how much easier this stuff is to work with! It still dries pretty quickly, but you can actually pull your brush through more than twice before it ruins the paint job. I wish I would have started using this long ago, it would have literally saved hours and hours of work and turned out much better results. I have no earthly idea how anyone can possibly use ProClassic straight from the can successfully on any surface larger than a couple inches wide or long. Oh and I have been using a really good Corona Excalibur brush, so that's not the problem.

One simple thing you might do is remove the lamps from the luminaries and then reset the breaker. Go through the same experiment turning on the switches without the light potential. I recently experienced a first for me, an incandescent lamp failure that tripped a breaker. In my case it reset fine with the failed lamp still in place. I think it unlikely that there is enough conductor in a lamp to fuse and carry enough current to fail a breaker, but it is a cheap check before calling in an electrician or tearing into it yourself. Are there both lights and plugs on the circuit?

Laura, I am so glad you checked in and hopefully you'll look again because your Get 'R Done opened today! I couldn't believe the SIZE of those two blooms on that little bitty plant that just barely settled in! If they are that big on a new planting I can't wait till next year! I knew I would love it. Nancy, glad to hear AWITC bloomed already for you.....mine is barely sending up scapes. But even mine is earlier than normal....it doesn't usually scape until August. Jerry will clump up fast for you I'll bet. I keep taking fans off it to give to people and it just gets bigger the more I take. mantis, Incendiary does well here and has never had a bad year. I had quite a few of his early on but sent a lot of them south. I still have about 4 others of his but Incendiary is the only one I can honestly say has vigor here.

I often see them starting a bit earlier and yes, they seem to prefer tomatoes. This year was a prolonged cool and wet spring and it is an off year for them, Foliage is where they live. More info HERE. tj
