We have the KA combo convection oven and the cooling fan is quite noticeable. It's also on whenever the convection is on, so I'm not sure if it's the convection fan or the cooling fan, but I suspect it's the cooling fan. We have a pretty loud house (dog, boys, parrots, music, news, etc) and open floor plan, so it doesn't really bother us. I do appreciate it because it works really, really well to dissipate the heat. Living in Florida and trying to conserve a/c, I don't want a "hot spot" in my kitchen, especially right in the middle of my galley-shape. For this reason I also really, really like my ventilation hood and I use it even when I'm using the oven on my range.

Speaking of Jeopardy (and champions), did anyone notice the current champion's peculiar speech? She has a sing-song thing going on at the end of some of her statements. If she says "two hundred," for example, her voice goes down a few notes at "dred" and back up again at the finish. I'm wondering if it's a regional thing, or something unique to her. PS: I don't think I explained that very well. :-)

Good grief! The three players have been needling each other for months and enjoying every minute of it. They've had an ongoing social media interaction that has been witty and hilariously cutting. James is well respected by the others and he returns it. His comment about Brad's score was very funny, not unkind at all when one knows the backstory of the relationship. Those of us who have watched other championship tournaments with these and other well known players should be well aware of the good humored teasing that goes on between them. James is actually a very sentimental soul and deeply appreciative of his opportunity to participate on Jeopardy and to do so well. My only question is regarding Brad. Usually a stellar performer, he just seemed to cave in this competition. It made me wonder if he is well. Or has he not competed against James or even Ken before and their lightning fast reactions?

I watched the Today show on NBC for years. I always liked Katie Couric, but I remember being less than impressed when Savannah, who was NBC's top legal analyst, was named co-host. So I guess I understand why some might not react well to her on Jeopardy. But I grew to like her a lot. I think she's a really nice person, and an excellent interviewer. And I agree with Eld--no way is she interested in becoming the permanent Jeopardy host. Did anyone notice the pitch Mayim made for the job on her last day? At the end of the show she said her role as host was a great fit with her experience as both an actor and a neuroscientist.
