Sadly prices aren't always reflected on the quickness of reproduction in geophytic plants. You must also take into consideration that these aren't garden plants, they're species with very limited growing conditions, this makes them less obtainable. Hi Rob!! My Gardenia tree is growing in my back yard and I transplanted it many years ago from my mothers yard when she was getting ready to sell her house. I grew up with these Gardenias and we always called them " old fashioned". It's probably not the real common name, but they are different from the trees you find in the garden centers . They are a very large bloom and have a very strong fragrance. If you would like, I can start a cutting for you? These grow so large and my tree in the back yard needs to be cut back. It really needs some attention. It loves water too! ill look for another pic for you.. The leaves are huge and a deep glossy dark green . It's interesting that you say the feel should be more or less the same if the dimensions are the same on a given manufacturer's sofas, because I was expecting that to be the case and it DEFINITELY was not when I went on my reconnaissance trip the other day. All of the La-Z-Boy sofas I sat on had the same seat depth, but the cushions felt remarkably different between styles, as did the pitch of the backs and seats, overall springiness of the support, etc. Same deal at Bassett, although in their case it was due to the fact that they offer several different options in terms of cushions (memory foam, innerspring, down, etc.). This couch is our main living space seating so I really want to be sure we love it! I appreciate your list of other quality brands and I'll keep an eye out for them when we go shopping. If you have any furniture retailers in the NYC/NJ metro area to recommend, I'd be grateful for those recommendations as well! DH hates furniture shopping so the fewer places I have to drag him looking for a high-quality, varied selection, the better!
