Miele Washer/Condenser Dryer - Cycle Times?
Comments (3)I am beyond surprised and happy that the Miele Little Giant condenser dryer dries much faster than the residential Miele condenser dryer. A large load of cottons (say roughly 12-14 shirts, 2-3 pairs of jeans or shorts, 10-12 pairs of underwear and 10-12 pairs of socks will dry in less than an hour, and this included my extended Cooling Down phase that I programmed. So, dry in 45ish mins! Large load of bath towels about an hour. CA King Sheets dried on delicate (very low heat) about 1:20 Remember the Little Giant was made and designed for Professional use, before they decided to allow residential customers to own one. Fast, efficient and brilliant. I could not be happier!!!...See MoreMiele Condensers or Condenser Dryer Wiki in General
Comments (4)No issues at all with the T1 heat pump, nothing is exhausted to the air. There is very very little heat that is pumped out during a cycle which comes out the bottom of the dryer (if you have it stacked and have the drawer you will notice the contents of the drawer are slightly warm). From a lint perspective, when you scrape the two lint filters after a cycle some may go airborne (as with any dryer) but it's very little. I think you might have seen a Miele vented dryer that was vented inside into an 'indoor dryer vent trap'. These you have to fill with water to try to trap some lint from the exhaust and there will be lint all over your walls if you don't keep up with it....See MoreDryer Vent Making Condensation on Wall
Comments (1)I think you have vent work that is not properly sealed at the joints or you have a hole in it. Whatever the problem is, you should not be seeing condensation, and it doesn't make sense that it depends on the time of day. What kind of ductwork is this? Is it that cheap stuff that looks like a Slinky covered in plastic or is it proper solid ducting? In any case this needs to be addressed....See MoreCondenser dryer or Heat Pump
Comments (9)I have had my Miele heat pump dryer for about a week now and can give my first impression. It does a great job at drying gently in a little less than an hour for a normal load. Towels are longer but I didn’t pay attention to the exact time. I agree with the above poster that the clothes feel a bit damp when the cycle ends but this goes away shortly after I put them in the basket. I have had a very unfortunate experience with my dryer which I think is rare but I’m not sure. They send a sample fragrance falcon in the machine, placed there in Germany before being shipped. This disc ruptured on route to me and left my dryer with an overwhelming/nauseating smell even after wiping out any visible spillage. The clothes come out with this strong smell which I can’t tolerate. Miele has so far declined to rectify the situation but I am not giving up yet! They could easily avoid this situation by placing the fragrance disk in a sealed bag or not placing it in the drum for transport. So i think I’d love the dryer if I could have fragrance free clothes and a fragrance free laundry room but in its current state it’s basically useless to me because the scent is intollerable and has not gone away with use....See MoreAvatarWalt
