Transfering cell phone contacts to new smart phone?
Comments (6)I believe both do have bluetooth but I never learned to use it. I will check it out. owbist; I always forget about youtube. However, I didn't see anything useful in your list. Remember, I had essentially succeeded in making a sim card transfe, but the data was not complete. The one on point post from your list also indicated incomplete data fields. I actually found that my transfer was worse than I originally thought. It only transferred the contact name and lost both the fact that the next contact was identical and thus a subset, but also lost any indication of the type of phone (work, home etc) and listed ALL entries as 'mobile'....See MoreTime for a new cell phone....
Comments (11)I'll either be getting the new phone from Alltel online or at the Alltel store, so I know the new phone will work with the service. Zipper, I hope you love your iPhone as much as everyone I know who has one, does. Give yourself a little time to learn it! And ask your friends to show you their tricks, if they have one. I can't get one, since I am not going to switch to AT&T. Minnie, my phone is a Samsung, it's a great little camera phone and it's our home phone and our computer connection, it stays here with the dog-sitter when we go on vacation, etc. So I'd like Woody's phone to be a giant step better than the little piece of junk Motorola he has now, it was like the cheapest phone they had and since he was getting a cell phone reluctantly, he wanted to economize. It's a good phone, reception-wise, but it does NOTHING. You can't even download a ringtone into it, let along take a photo. Terri, which LG do you prefer? I'll go look those up! Thanks for all the advice, people! If anyone has more recommendations, I'd love to hear it!...See MoreNew tip for using cell phone :o)
Comments (13)I think I've told this story here before, but.... My DS#2 was working at the local feed store and while loading feed, he accidentally dropped his cell phone into the bed of a truck. Once he realized his phone was gone, he borrowed a co-workers phone and called me all upset. It was a new, expensive phone and he didn't know what to do. So I told him I would try calling the phone and maybe he or someone else would hear it. By this time the rancher whose truck the phone had fallen in was at his place standing at the back of his truck. My DS had a bird singing ringer for when I called him. So when I tried calling, the rancher only heard a bird singing. So DS had a friend call his phone. He had his ringer set as a rooster crowing when this friend called him. So the rancher started hearing the rooster crow. He was really puzzled then as he knew he didn't have any chickens on his place. Finally he found the phone and the next time I tried calling it the rancher answered. He was laughing so hard because by then he had figured out what had happened. DS was soooo glad to get his phone back!...See MoreCell phone usb charging cable will not work in new auto
Comments (8)Bossyvossy, playing music in a car from a thumb drive or SD card (some cars take one, the other, or both), assuming the music files have accurate embedded tags (Title, artist, album, genre, etc) plus album art, should look and have the same controls as playing them on an iPad/iPod/iPhone, or their equivalent Android device or program on a PC. You should be able to choose a playlist by Artist, by Album, by Genre, or a prepared playlist or playlist of everything. I have thumb drives in a Toyota, a VW, and a BMW (all less than 3 years old) and they all look and behave pretty much the same. I've plugged them into rental cars of various other makes and the same has been true. Fast forward or back, skip forward or back, play again, shuffle play, or play in order, etc. Here's a quick image I found showing a track playing on no matter what kind of a device, this is similar to how an auto display would look...See MoreRita / Bring Back Sophie 4 Real
