We did that last night, because sonny boy couldn't find his cell phone - funny how that works, huh?

Funny thing.... I can't find find phone taday. Must have left it at work. Can't hear it there.

Three times now we have used that idea outside.

The fall Jeff and his friend brought the horses over. As they were riding through the yard to leave his phone bounced out of his pocket. We found it under a pile of leaves.

Another time was one of our Halloween bondfires...one of the guys from church lost his out there in the leaves and in the dark. We called it and it flashed as it rang so that helped us to find that one.

The other I had my phone in my passenger car seat...wasn't there when I got home...called my daughter to look at her house..She called it and found it out by her driveway.

It is a good tip.

Should have used that tip the other night I looked all over for mine and finally found it in my pj top pocket!!

I do that all the time--much easier and faster than tearing the house apart looking for the cell.

I have to call my cell phone a lot! My cordless house phones have pagers built in, thank goodness!

I called my cell one day. I could hear it. The sound seemed to follow me as I walked around. After the THIRD time to call it, I discovered it was in MY POCKET! OMG! I felt so silly...

lol, iowagirl! I did that the other day! It was in my back pocket. One of these days I'm going to wash the phone, I know it.

Seems like at least once a year my dh loses his phone in a field. He borrows my phone to hear his phone laying in the middle of nowhere. He is so hard on cell phones.

Glenda its good you found it (in the pillow case) or no doubt someone would call while your napping and scare you.

I've told this story before.

Main Man couldn't find his cell phone anywhere. The ringer was off and on vibrate. I looked outside and there was a flash of light bouncing around from side to side in the back yard. It looked like a small UFO. Dashing here and there.

As it turned out, Pawle was running around in the backyard with Main Man's Cell Phone. She stole it off of his chair.

I think I've told this story here before, but.... My DS#2 was working at the local feed store and while loading feed, he accidentally dropped his cell phone into the bed of a truck. Once he realized his phone was gone, he borrowed a co-workers phone and called me all upset. It was a new, expensive phone and he didn't know what to do. So I told him I would try calling the phone and maybe he or someone else would hear it. By this time the rancher whose truck the phone had fallen in was at his place standing at the back of his truck. My DS had a bird singing ringer for when I called him. So when I tried calling, the rancher only heard a bird singing. So DS had a friend call his phone. He had his ringer set as a rooster crowing when this friend called him. So the rancher started hearing the rooster crow. He was really puzzled then as he knew he didn't have any chickens on his place. Finally he found the phone and the next time I tried calling it the rancher answered. He was laughing so hard because by then he had figured out what had happened. DS was soooo glad to get his phone back!
