Going to a movie later today, seeing Ocean's 8. Has anybody seen it yet?

Supposed to have a little staycation. Have tickets to Shania Twain and a hotel room for tonight. DH is sick.

DH is out of town, so it is just me and the dog :) Some of my girlfriends and I went to dinner last evening and we had a good time. This morning I met with a contractor that will be moving a 10 x 16 shed to a different location on our property. I also began mowing the lawn and will be going back out to finish it up shortly. We have a triple lot but I prefer the way it looks when mowed with a push mower, so the whole process takes about 2 hours. Not sure what I'll do later....rest?

Household chores and laundry. Finish up an outside project - hubby installed five new outdoor faucets and there is some clean-up to do. Studio time on Sunday.

Puttering around the house and yard but no major projects. I already cleaned out my Jeep. I think I'll deadhead some flowers next. I see a nap in my near future.

Welp, my blood donation was a bust! I drank well yesterday to make sure I was hydrated. I even ate a big bag of plain salted potato chips to make sure I didn't just pee out all that water. LOL (yes, chips are non-keto...).... I slept well. I got up and had two slices of toast with peanut butter. (did I mention I kinda fell off the keto wagon?) and a coffee and 500ml (or 2 cups) of water. We drove downtown and I had my bloods hemoglobin tested. It was something like 148 which is probably the best it's ever been. I was happy. But then the monitor for the body temperature wouldn't read my temperature. So I had to sit and wait 10 minutes. I kept my mouth shut the entire time. Gotta keep that heat in. The room is sooooooooooo cold. Finally got my temp to read 36.7C. That's good (37 is normal). Voila! All set to donate that blood. The technician inserted the needle into my right arm and I barely felt a thing. I was very impressed and let her know that. I usually jump a bit. Then a minute later the alarm kept going off on the machine that hold the bag of blood. The technician wiggled the needle a bit. Another gave me two hot packs and placed one on my shoulder and the other in my hand. Still no blood flow. For some reason, even giving the needle a slight move here and there didn't help and they had to stop the donation. I think only a few tablespoons of blood went into the bag. :( She thinks the blood clotted, but isn't sure. So, I'll go again in September. I've never had that happen before.

This morning I went stone shopping for countertops with my daughter. She is remodeling her kitchen. We went to two places an hour distance apart. She chose Taj Mahal quartzite, very pretty and a good choice for her kitchen. Then we stopped at the local farmers market, bought duck eggs which we had never tried, and scrambled them up for lunch. Duck eggs are large. Everyone is happy- she got the countertop she wants and we spent time together.

We're going to see Ocean's 8 in a few hours. I hadn't heard of it but I saw a preview this morning and it looks great. I love the cast.

this morning I went out for breakfast with DH and a couple of ladies. I took a nap and then I started washing down my cupboards. I bought some TSP to do them and it really cuts the grease good. Then it got to warm up there, close to the ceiling to do it anymore. Tonight I might go out for supper. Tomorrow DH and I are going to Pierre for church and then out for brunch and then he will got to the movie _SOLO. I might go to the movie THE RIDER.
