The weekend is here again- any plans?

Anyone have any plans for the weekend? Marilyn Sue I wonder if there are rummage sales on the weekends and wish I could find some here to go to. I don't have much planned other than some cleaning and if it is cool I may do a little outside work. TGIF everyone. Satine

Yes - plans to work in the yard - the weather is amazing right now. Rain is due in NW Florida on Sunday and Monday, so will work hard Saturday.

Enjoying the weather is certainly on our list as well. DD is coming down to visit tomorrow. I promised her crepes for breakfast (one of her favs). Then we're probably going to the Hanover outlet (great buys on canned goods, frozen veg and bags of snacks. The Amish Market--I've got some good buy something and get something else free coupons for this week. And a lovely little bakery owned by one of my neighbors--DD wants to get a treat for a friend who had surgery this week, and I always share some of my grape jelly with the gals who work there. We may hit some of the farm markets as well.

Sunday? No specific plans, but we continue to work on getting the new place just the way we want it. DH sealed the deck this week, so I'd like to get the furniture back and nicely arranged.

Linda, the bunnies on your table runner are really cute! I was thinking of National Quilting Day this morning and saw in our newpaper that there was an estate sale close by and they listed "old quilts" --- well, the quilts weren't as old as I expected and although they were lovely, I wasn't shopping for a semi-modern quilt at those prices. However, I found a quilted child's skirt for $3. It is such a fun item and has a ton of quilting in it, so that --- along with a few other things --- came home with me. I don't usually do that sort of thing so it was fun. What a beautiful day it is here... too pretty to stay inside and sew. (I do not have a child to wear the skirt; I am just keeping it because it is so INTERESTING! I wish I could post a picture but PhotoBucket and my computer don't seem to get along these days.) I met up with Kate and her friends from Baltimore in York PA and we drove together to the Lancaster Show for a day of all things Quilty. We bought a variety of goodies~one of us bought a sewing machine! Yay for her!! We ended the day buying beautiful Batiks for $4.98/yd from a Pick up truck at The Log Cabin Quilt Shop. So much fun! My gut tells me she is lying to her BF. It's too convenient that she has been with him two years and he is finally confiding in his ex wife that he made a mistake and regrets everything he's done, and that is the exact time that BM gets pregnant? Too convenient, plus she told DH a few years ago she can't have kids anymore. If she is pregnant, then she was lying to DH and judging by BF's reaction, it was not planned. (at least not a plan BF was involved in... BM may have planned it) It will be a real mess because SD already feels her mom ignores her. The other thing is that BM's older DD14 just moved up with her after living with grandma for two years. We figured she moved her other DD there because we made sure the court knew she has full custody of her DD but she lives with grandma. So, we thought she moved her in to show the court she now has her DD with her, but now we think perhaps she just needs her to babysit when the baby is born? (if there really is a baby) As you can tell, I really think she is lying. Maybe I am in denial.. I didn't think she could do anything crazier than she already has but she just keeps going and going and going and going.... For me the worse part in what BM is doing, is that BF's kids were already just dealing with their parents divorce... they divorced a few months before he met BM and now they have been told dad is marrying BM... they have set a date two or three times... BM has bought two different wedding dresses and shown the kids her dresses... BM has asked SD to ask me to bake her wedding cake... BM has actually bought wedding stuff on ebay and posted a blog on her myspace announcing her wedding to all her friends. So, BM has been, for the last two years, kept this charade up that she is going to marry their dad... and kept her daughters pumped up over it. Her older daughter posted a picture of BM & BF on the internet saying "my mom and soon to be stepdad"... SHE IS STILL MARRIED TO HER OLDER DAUGHTER'S FATHER!!!! I don't think BF would be telling his kids he's marrying BM if he really knew she was still married. So, that brings the question: Would he tell his kids she's pregnant if he wasn't absolutely sure? Well, he is either still believing what he is told or he has gone with her to the doctor and it's true. I tend to believe he is taking BM's word for it because she is very convincing... even now, if we didn't know all the lies she's told & been caught in, she might get one over on us still. So, I think while he's at work, she is saying she's been to the doctor, etc. Only time will tell if that's true or not. If she ends up saying she had a miscarriage.. it will be really hard for me to muster up sympathy (which I have for anyone that suffers that) because I really think she is lying and of course if she really is pregnant and has a miscarriage, then my indifference would be sinful and that thought bothers me. I just have a hard time when it comes to her... If she weren't such a liar!

I did write my post a little confusing.... BM is a middle school teacher...... She told DH last year - she was helping to administer the SAT's at a high school in North Carolina last year - and could not meet DH.... But it turned out to be a lie - when SD called DH on that Saturday and told him BM had just bought her another "Build a Bear - Stuffed Bear" AND yes - BM has attempted to use modeling, cheerleading, summer school, dancing, birthday parties, travel, and now illnesses to try and block SD and DH from exercising their visits - court ordered of course.... The majority of these things turned out to be a lie. SD is only involved in dance - and it is actually during the week... not on fri sat or sun. Like she was saying earlier this week about a casting call for the fashion show there in NC this weekend. We looked up the CAC and got the telephone number. The casting call is next weekend....... which is not his weekend at all - so she was going to lie about it and block his visit this weekend...... Lovehadely - very good point... I copied and emailed him your response today. I have said the same thing. But maybe him seeing it as advice from someone else in our shoes will help him to understand what i am trying to get him to understand. I told him that BM is basically starving for attention and using the arguements to get it. She will stop at nothing to get him upset and angry or hurt. AND once she does she feels good about it. I also told him that the court order is in place for a reason. He should not have to argue and fuss about what the "Court" has given him in regards to his daughter. We paid alot of money for this attorney to respresent him - and he needs to use the guy now for any other interaction with BM. (especially since the attorney told him and me after court he will not charge us again - since this is the first time he - the attorney saw a guy doing right and going above and beyond - being attacked for no reason) Great advice ladies.... I will let my DH know so he can maybe understand that he doesn't have to argue with her..... Just follow the court order and the judge's comments. File what is necessary and continue to document her actions. I tried to tell him - I think she is really happy when she has him upset and to stop giving her the satisfaction and stop letting her cause him the un-neccessary stress. I treat my daughter's father the exact same way - when he calls - if he calls - or emails - it must be about my daughter or I don't allow him to speak to me or return the email. He has never been negative to my daughter so i am fine with him talking to her. I just don't allow the drama or stress. BUT i don't use her (BD) against him either. It works for me - less stress, means peace of mind.

A friend of mine is giving a party tomorrow night with Irish musicians. We'll be reading a little poetry in the middle of it all too. Should be fun!

On Sunday I'm going to attempt to repair the leaks in my kitchen faucet. I'm not expecting that to be fun.

Yes, I'm going to "Fla across Florida" tomorrow. It's a 3 day thing from one end of Fl to the west side. It's about 270 miles long. I won't be going very far though.

We are taking our 'Blu Dandy" (motor-home) to a rally in the northern part of Oregon. It hasn't been anywhere this year, so we are really looking forward to seeing all our travel companions and catching up.

BTW I canned Anne's Salsa from the Cooking Forum....OMGosh....it is heavenly. Only did half a batch so will do more when we come home. (I don't eat salsa much, so will watch my tummy tonight~

Son called and invited me to join his family at church services on Sunday and lunch afterwards.

I do have plans to go back to the town wide rummages today with Amber, Alyssa, and Cheryl, Satine. We had so much fun yesterday even though the day started out rainy. Hopefully on Sunday I can go to church and then just do whatever after I come back home. You all sound like you will be kept busy over the weekend. I am glad your son invited you to church Glenda. Have a safe trip too Marie and Joann. Nannie I too have been canning salsa and hope to do more. I use my niece's recipe. I have seen Annie's recipe though. Alisande good luck with the repairs to your faucet. Azzalea your plans sound nice also, enjoy your time with your DD. Kay don't over do out in the yard, I need to try and get a little of that work done too!

All city garage sale in nearby town, so DD and I are going to that. I have plants that I want to get into the ground...mostly hostas that have to moved as I made a new bed for the ones being crowded out.

I have a one years old's birthday BBQ to attend on Sunday. I'm supplying the cake for around 60 guests. So that's why it's 5:30 AM and the 22" by 14" (almost a full sheet) cake is in the oven. Just like a real bakery I bake in the wee hours of the morning. No AC here.

Tonight I'll build the thing. The 3-D Puppy part was baked last night and is in freezer.

Nothing new planned here. Started my laundry already and having my morning coffee drink while I sit here and wake up. I got a phone call at 4 AM from my son and I was sleeping so well. My coffee drink is something from the dairy dept called Delight Mocha. Don't try it girls, it is addictive. I love it over ice, better than Starbucks. Its' wonderfully cool here for the last 3 days with rain. Such a nice change from the heat. Have a nice day everyone.

Getting ready to leave for my niece's baby shower. JUST managed to finish her gift this morning. I crocheted her a 12-point star babyghan and sewed two receiving blankets (one side is brown - I know, strange choice, but it works with the colors, and the other side is little animals in wild colors on a blue background), 2 baprons and a bib. Michael's room theme is turtles, which are on the print flannel I used.

I'm taking DH's BEST potato salad and one of the games, too.

Other than the shower, nothing else planned.

Beginning preparations for our RV trip next weekend to Oklahoma for my Mother in laws 90th birthday party and mini family reunion. Loading up everything we can now while we have the time and not rush.

Do some shopping!
It is a beautiful day here today also, we have had a few days of needed rain and now the birds are all happy and chirping up a storm LOL

Sounds like some good times out thee. I have been sooo lazy today and have accomplished nothing. I did strip my bed and wash the linens, cleaned the kitchen and took a nap. Tried to reach my daughters but I guess they are out and about so it has been very quiet at my house. After I remake the bed maybe I'll start a new book. Take care everyone. Satine

Nothing much going on here today. Tomorrow Bobby and his girlfriend will come for dinner.

Now that I have moved our trip to Texas to the beginning of October I need to start planning my food to make ahead. I have already roughed out our route and dates. Who do husbands have appointments in the middle of when I want to be gone? Thank goodness we are retired and can be flexible.
