Phlox for partially shaded spot

Hi everyone,

I have been successfully growing phlox for a year or two in an open shade / partial sun situation but have observed that my results are better with some of the complex hybrids than the pure paniculatas. In particular I’ve had a good experience with the flame series. I’m wondering if anyone has any other varieties they’d recommend for taking a bit more shade than the average phlox?

I’ve had flame lilac and flame blue do well. Red Caribbean and Blue Paradise were a bit floppy and not as healthy.

I’m specifically looking at replacing the blue paradise with either swizzle blue, watermelon punch, phlox divaricata, cleopatra, or flame coral so any experience with those cultivars would be greatly appreciated!
