There is not enough water in low flush toilets to totally remove all waste, all the time. Actually, I have one of the Toto double cyclone toilets (the Soiree) and decided to move it from my master bathroom to my guest bathroom. I don't find the flush of the double cyclone to be anywhere near as vigorous as the G-Max flush of the UltraMax. So I ordered a Toto Lloyd for the master bath that has the G-Max flush, as I already own an UltraMax Toto in my powder room and am very happy with it. But that doesn't mean that the UltraMax always cleans out the toilet on the first flush, but it does so far more often than the double cyclone models. The Toto Drake is probably Toto's least expensive toilet with the G-Max flush, if pricing is a concern. Greg

Actually most if not all elongated toilet seats are standardized to fit any elongated toilet. If you have a conventional round bowl it will take the standard round style seat. If you are unsure, Toto makes a full line of seats other than the one that comes on the drake. From what Ive seen online the common complaint about the Drake seat is that it is thin and contemporary and has a tendency to make you feel as if you are sliding backwards when seated on it. We have 2 Toto Ultramax styled toilets and the original seats were very different from the one on a Drake. I just recently replaced one with a Toto Washlet and its great.

Hi Jani: I originally thought that I had to have a Toto toilet. However, after looking at Toto toilets and trying them out in person, I'm not so convinced. At one local dealer, I had to flush the Toto dual-cyclone twice. Also, a skid mark is not acceptable, either. Here are my thoughts/desires: ~HET flush to get the local water company rebate ~map score of 800 or better ~single flush mechanism ~sanifloss finish for ease of maintenance ~soft close seat ~traditional looking (I like the looks of the Kohler Memoirs and Toto Soiree or Genevieve) ~moderately priced, not to exceed $450, less if possible Right now, I'm leaning towards the American Standard Town Square, it meets all of my conditions above. I found a two-piece with the soft close seat at my local plumbing store for $450. I don't know if that is a good price or not. I have heard that the soft close seats cost over $100 themselves, yikes! What are the relative benefits for a one piece versus a two piece toilet? I was surprised to learn that sometimes you have to buy each piece separately? Is the St. Thomas a one-piece or two-piece? I'll be interested in hearing about your experience once it's installed.

I just ordered the Toto from Amazon with no taxes ans shipping fees . It was delivered and put in my garage . It's the Toto drake 1.6 . I have both the 1.28 and 1.6 in Amercan standard , Toto and kholer . Out of the three I like better the 1.6 . That is my opinion .
