Need Help with Master Bedroom Bathroom/Bedroom Layout - 1970s house
Comments (5)I like my first idea best as far as use of space. I know people say not to put toilets on an outside wall. We had one in our last house in Iowa, but we had 2X6 construction. I don't know how high your window is, but I'm guessing the toilet would fit under there. The shower would be 5 feet long or shorter if you want a wider space to get to the toilet. (kind of tight the way I have drawn). You could do a 5 and half foot long shower and do an angled door at the left end to allow room between the shower and toilet. The vanity would be about 7 feet long, unless you do a 60 inch vanity with a linen cabinet at the door. I would reverse entry door swing if you do that.. The second top right could work and you would still have a small closet. The bottom left plan would require waterproofing your front window. Hopefully someone will give you other ideas. The bottom right plan is bigger, but no closet. Each square equals 1 foot....See Moreis pink color OK for the master bedroom pink color for master bedroom
Comments (25)Yes, I think pink is a beautiful color for a master bedroom! The trick is picking the right pink and then balancing it with other elements that are not overly feminine. I love pink and brown together, or black. When choosing a grownup ink go to the brown section in your color deck. As you move up to the lighter colors you will see what I refer to as dirty pinks. These are softer, more pleasing pinks that men can love....See MoreMaster Bedroom design - help needed and appreciated!
Comments (0)Hi everyone! Me and my boyfriend moved together about 2 years ago and we tried to style our house in certain ways. We have bought some furniture for our bedroom that I love (2 bedside tables and a chest-of-drawers), a bed and we couldn't find a wardrobe in the same color, so we chose one that we thought seems ok (not so sure about that now :/). Below I'm attaching some pics of our current bedroom situation. I don't want to give up on the bedside tables and my boyfriend doesn't want to give up on the wardrobe, so everything we have now must stay (except for the curtains - we can change those). We want to decorate around but don't know how to start and we're pretty afraid of failure :( I know our bedroom doesn't look really great now, but I do hope that adding some decorations would make it more beautiful. The style that we would like to have is cozy, but keeping the glam vibe too. I feel like we're totally lost and bought things we liked without thinking if they really go together or not. If you have any ideas what we can do to make this space look better, please feel free to share: starting from lamps to any other decorations. Base color we want is gray, but we haven't decided to any accent color, so anything is much appreciated. P.S. We'll place the TV on the wall, so the surface of our chest-of-drawers would need some love too....See MoreI need help designing my Master Bedroom!
Comments (86)So I lost the opportunity on that dresser. Apparently a friend was refinishing the top and his wife fell in love with it. I’ll keep my eye out for something similar. The sad thing is, that one was a well known brand. So I felt I was getting good quality. This one showed up and I like it…it’s half the price but no brand or stamp mentioned. So I’m guessing quality might not be there. But looks good, right? The drawers are dovetailed and he says they glide well....See Morethreers
