sheesharee, you have to order Ellen's paint through her website or call her but the store you pick up the order at is ICI Dulux paints. Or you can have it shipped. The paint is full spectrum color which means it has 7-8 pigments while most paint only has a few pigments. You cannot really duplicate the colors since she uses so many pigments. The paint is on the expensive side but is of excellent quality. And the depth of the color is wonderful. I like Ellen's colors and most of her shades blend well with one another so that the struggle to get one room to flow with another is greatly lowered. I think you've got a great place to start, very large and open. There's not much room for a microwave over the stovetop though? Anyway, can you paint the walls more of a greige that is so popular, somewhere between the gray you wanted, but still pickup the beige tones in the granite. Breezy's cabinets are BM Simply white, which looks really nice. All the best on your reno!

I can't help with color. I tend to chose "bright and bold" myself and that's a bit against the current popular trends. I will say this about the metal tub trim, for what it's worth. I had similar trim surrounding the main tub when we lived on the base. The Housing Office let me remove the glass doors - no way was I going to try to keep them clean - but that left the metal frame that hurt my foot every time I got in the shower, was the devil to clean, and was very uncomfortable to lean over and against in order to clean the tub. I got out the power screwdriver and removed all of it. Yes, it left a few holes along the tub, and three up each side of the tiled walls, but I carefully filled them with caulk and never gave it a second thought. The small filled holes were much less bothersome than the frame. There was no water damage, and believe me, before we moved the housing inspectors tried their best to find some, LOL. Since our house was scheduled for demolition once we retired, I did not have to replace the glass doors and frames that I had carefully and thoroughly cleaned, wrapped, and stored in the basement. So if you don't like the large expanse of gold trim around the tub, and you don't mind a few dots of caulk, remove it. You'll more than likely be very pleased with the results. I have that very same cabinet over the toilet in our basement bathroom. It's as sturdy as can be, very well made, very useful, etc...so I just decided to embrace it's '60s glory and use it as is. You could change the handles and switch out the sink faucet. Once you pick a paint, remove the tub trim, and maybe change the faucet you can just celebrate having a functioning and not-bad-at-all bathroom.

"What is the style of your house, and surrounding rooms?" The style of my house is evolving to my taste. We remodeled the kitchen and family 2 years ago and now are doing the master bath. Then we will tackle the formal rooms which are in between, bringing the whole downstairs together. Here are a couple of pictures of the remodeled kitchen and family room area which reflect our taste. I like the combination of the crisp white cabinets, darker island cabinets, light stone on island, wood floors, and the rustic pine table. It's comfortable to my eye. These photos were taken when the rooms were almost done. I haven't taken any really good recent ones. I was thinking that a stained cabinet in the bathroom would be the "bathroom equivalent" of the stained pine table, to warm up the room since there will probably be marble counters and white vanity cabinets, plus the glass of the shower. All that cold needs something to warm it up. I think I have made my decision to stain the cabinet. Hearing the advice here and typing all this out has convinced me!
