I’m wondering what you ended up doing.

We are doing something similar in some respects -- white perimeter cabinets (white dove); quarter sawn oak island stained "pecan"., oak floors. We are using River White (leathered) for both. Our slab has a touch of yellow/gold in it, but not very much, so I think it depends on your slab. We wanted a granite with a ligth background that went well with both white and wood -- River White was one of the few that did, I think in part because it does have some of the gold tones in it. It also has a lot of burgandy, which I think would look great with cherry cabinets.

I will post pictures when it's all said and done. I still can't decide! I asked the builder if he knew of any model homes with any of the colors on the walls so I can see it in person. It's too hard to choose from just a swatch in a binder! @Jessica You have a lovely kitchen. So much space to work and cook. Is the mural important to you? You could cut the sheetrock and try to save the piece of art and replace the sheet rock patching etc. That will cost money unless you are handy with sheet-rocking. Do you really love it? You could also photograph it and hire an artist to copy it. If it is valuable or important to you. keep it. But for me, I would not hesitate to paint over it and move on. A photo would be all I might keep of the pretty mural. Obviously the original owners did not mind leaving it. It may be my monitor by the floors and the dark black cabinets seem to be battling a little with each other. Getting rid of the tuscan yellow walls will really improve that fight and your space. I would try to find a more creamy looking white if you must go white. What is the white color of the cabinets? Can you add brighter bulbs to the recessed lights? This will help get the space brighter too. Are you keeping the other colors ? the maroon sponge painted great room, the library (BM Caribbean Blue Water), on the west wall. The doorway on the north wall leads to the breezeway (currently sponge painted yellow/gold with murals), the dining room (now BM Aura Matte Pacific Ocean Blue), and my office (BM Aura Matte Teal). Venetian gold counters can sometimes look nice with creamy beige or greige colors. I agree with you Gray might not work as the floors may be a little too red to work with gray. @Teresa Halley had a fantastic idea. If Softer Tan SW goes with your counters I would do that color. Some ideas. If your floors were less red orange I might consider one of the grays below
