UPDATE: WoW Thanks! I wanted that! #9
Comments (149)Morning all! Fran, I put in a bit more postage than what it was for me to mail my package to you. I don't think that I'll get back what I sent because we have a lot of veggie growers here, BUT if by chanace you dont have enough postage I'd be happy to send more if you need it to get my package back to me. I'm so glad that I bought the veggie seeds, I could almost hear how excited people were when I offered them up for grabs! Thank you to anyone who sent flowers in for me, I assure you that every single seed will find a good home. Lisa...See MoreIncredible Heirlooms 2009 Events
Comments (37)Oh my Gosh! My mind is backwards! I said I would take the September swap, and can the school spirit. I should be posting sooN! I guess because it is August, and this is the September swap, it did not hit me that this is next! LOL! We can do something like an all bean swap? That was an idea of mine for the new calandar. Probably those small flat rate boxes would be good for that since beans are heavy. I was thinking of doing an all bean swap, where you send in the beans to me and I redistribute. You send in one of those $5 flat rate Priority boxes, and I will send yours back in the same box with money to cover exact postage? It is a few bucks more than the tomato swap, but that is because it is beans. I really want to do such a swap. But maybe I will wait on this one so it works. Or, I had this as an idea. I am hosting Ethnic favorites in November, we can do that theme now, and then do the bean swap in November, after beans have been havested? I dont know, just trying to think fast. But this bean swap I really want to be a "go" at some point, even if we wait for January or February or something. But I assume I will be doing the mass tomato swap again, so it may conflict with that in JAnuary. Do you like the bean swap idea? Do you think people will not mind sending the $5 postage for a flat rate box? I just thought since beans are so heavy, that that would be actually cheaper sending flat rate then sending it by weight. Any quick ideas if you do not like these? Becky, I know you are out there! LOL! We can wait, I am just thinking fast since I should be posting the September swap soon. Any comments? Help please! LOL! Comments (70)Hey Bonnie! I'm doing ok, was having issues with my cable service but think it should all be taken care of now. What really sucks was that I was in the middle of searching for peppers so I could sort them by color for the yellow seed swap you are hosting when the internet just stopped working. I still have that darn ziplock sitting here full of yellow seeds! LOL I think I'll just throw some of them in the side swap we're doing as freebies. I was seriously having major swap with drawls too! LOL I'm very glad to be back and I missed all of you bunches too. :)...See MoreIE and IH New Events and UpdatesThread 2009-2010
Comments (46)I'm also mainly interested in veggies like Bonnie and Donna so would hate to see these go away as well. I was going to offer up a suggestion to have these events quarterly rather than monthly. Unless the majority wants monthly swaps, I would think quarterly Round Robins would result in larger participant numbers and more varieties of well... varieties. lol I'm fairly new to the group (started swapping last fall) but would be willing to help with hosting duties too. I'm sure mentoring would be in order but I'm a fast study (if that helps). :-) So count me in... Lynn...See Moreolychick
