Help with I.D. in my vegetable jigsaw puzzle
Comments (3)I think the top slice of 'squash' may be a piece of Fairytale or Long Island cheese pumpkin? The cut one on the bottom of the picture looks like a squash but the top one sure looks likes pumpkin. Look up Fairytale and Long Island cheese pumpkins on the internet to see them for a full picture....See MoreHelp with I.D. in my vegetable jigsaw puzzle
Comments (11)Please forgive my slowness with this. I've done tons of puzzles and never had a problem "seeing" something like this before. Ok..........am I right in assuming that those pieces are the same squash, just cut in half? And Josie....you're saying that the squash was just cut down the middle and the pulp parts are facing each other and the brown side we're seeing is the outside of the squash? Why does it look like it has a dark, caved in part and it also looks around the outside edges like it was cut? This must seem so weird to you all, my obsession with understanding what I'm seeing. hahaha I just want it to make sense. It's a neat puzzle image for me, except for that one thing I can't understand. Thanks for helping me! I hope I'm not having a stroke. hahaha (I know....not funny)....See MoreJigsaw puzzle maddness
Comments (13)Socks, this is a 500 piece puzzle. I rarely do any more than 750 piece puzzles as I am unable to sit for long periods at a table. I work a puzzle on a 26 x 30 styrofoam board that rests on the arms of my glide rocking chair. So finished puzzle size has to be considered when I buy one. I have 2 of those boards and sometimes have 2 puzzles going at once. Having 2 boards would make it possible to turn one of those 2 sided puzzles over onto the 2nd board, but that would be cheating. lol...See MoreJigsaw puzzle enthusiasts.....
Comments (24)Dee, thanks for that link. I've been using jigsawexplorer.com, but this one is better. I wouldn't try the Heinz puzzle. I like a challenge, but that's just frustration. Since we've been at home, I have been doing puzzles from my in-laws collection. The one I'm doing now has a large area of sky that is just white. I cannot make any headway on that spot, and it's annoying!...See Moremsmeow
