Not likely ;0) In fact, I rarely do those that are puzzles of paintings, or cartoons, preferring those that have real colors in the right places as an actual photograph to help me in completing them. I do them to relax, not to challenge myself - understanding that someone else could thrive on the difficulty.

No! We had James Bond puzzle that was all gold on one side, and the other side was all white except for Bond in the middle. We never did more than his figure. No fun at all.

When I was a teenager, my best friend and I did a round puzzle called "Little Red Riding Hood's Red Cloak", which was solid dark red. We also tackled a puzzle of a Jackson Pollock painting. Other than doing simple puzzles when my kids were small, I don't think I've done one since...maybe I should try.

nuh uh...I suppose you could do the same thing with any puzzle just by doing the backside, no?

I did a puzzle once of a black cat on a black background...it was a nightmare.

I saw a similar one once while on jury duty. It was round, solid red, called "Little Red Riding Hood." It was put out for the bored jurors to work on; good place for it.

I've been buying 300-piece puzzles to do with my dad -- that's about the right level of difficulty for him to enjoy. Now that I can't visit him, I've been doing a couple by myself. Taking a random handful of pieces out before starting, makes them a bit more challenging.

I read a book set in the 1930's, it featured a jigsaw puzzle contest. Teams of four people would be given the same new puzzle to assemble, first team finished wins. The protagonist's team met several times to work out strategy, settling on assigning each person a color to concentrate on. Maybe jigsaw tournaments will come back, once we get through social distancing.

Maybe if the pieces were all square ... and you were considering a trip to Russia ... you could do it in Red Square.

Might find some Reds willing to help ... though it might be hard to have any idea of how many real Reds there may be there.

I did a circular white one. Hard. very hard but it was sort of dull. I do like to see the picture grow. My mother was very fond of puzzles so I used to buy them for her and ended up with some. I have an ex who had no idea how they were done. He simply picked pieces at random and tried them. He was super annoyed that I kept putting in pieces. No idea that you looked at the shape and color. I was amazed but he was an only. Still how do you not get you are putting a picture back together again?

Sometimes when my ex- and I did puzzles together, Patricia, she'd often find about half a dozen to my one or two.

My favourite puzzle is called Impossible Puzzle. The picture is the same on both sides, with one side turned 90°. I have a few of them.

Dee_can1 -- I love Jigsawplanet! I also average about a puzzle a day. I usually begin one late at night, get it going, and then finish it the following day. Relaxing, but also very good for your brain!

I wouldn't try the Heinz puzzle. I like a challenge, but that's just frustration. Since we've been at home, I have been doing puzzles from my in-laws collection. The one I'm doing now has a large area of sky that is just white. I cannot make any headway on that spot, and it's annoying!
