Thanks so much for the input thus far! I have attached 3 pics of my family room/kitchen area. The first 2 are from before we moved in but it shows the space and the last is current. Don't mind the clutter ;-) Also, the furniture is transitioning out as I put the room together. I'm not generally a fan of accent walls but I am in LOVE with this room. I really want to recreate it. I think doing a dark color on all of the walls would be too much for me. Additionally the left wall runs up the stairs to the second floor, so I plan to carry whatever color is on that wall the whole way up. I put several Sherwin Williams colors on the wall today. I liked the Bitter Chocolate but my husband isn't a fan (haven't decided if he gets input or not yet ;-)) and another we liked was Folkstone. I feel the Folkstone is a little too gray and not enough chocolate.

Valspar has identified coordinates for Pale Bloom. Choose one of the darker colors for the stair wall. Be aware that the wall and your kitchen cabinets are going to abut visually, so choose both colors carefully. Try a warm, neutral wall paint for the entire space, decluttering along the way, which also breaks up the flow, and see how it looks. You can always do an accent wall later on. Yep, this is entire furniture set I’m getting, plus the drapes. I didn’t know if the navy would make it too much especially with the drapes. As you can see… it’s super traditional and dramatic style furniture. I was hoping charcoal would add a modern mix to it plus the art I use to achieve that look.
