Twist tie, twist tie
Comments (19)About 1/2 of the bread items around here still come with twist ties on them and I normally toss them when I open it. They're seldom sealed tight. I had a need for a twist tie a couple months ago when I had to attach a new lanyard on my PDA and it had this little tiny spot to feed it through then make a u-turn and come back out. It was so small the twist tie wouldn't fit in there with the coating on it. Had to strip it back and just use the wire. I bought a roll of them for the garage and got some longer ones for some stuff I was setting up at work so they occasionally get used in the garage. For virtually all plastic bags for food storage I buy zipper lock or slider lock type. And I almost always buy the freezer bags since they're heavier. My cousin OTOH... I don't think can live without twist ties! Come to think of it the larger sized cheaper bags probably still come with them on the non sip/slider or fold/lock top bags. I think garbage bags come with them too if they're not handle-tie. I haven't bought any in so long I don't know if they still do or not. (I always tie the tops of the garbage bags too so none get used there either. But for just a few, I'd just ask and I'm sure they'd say help yourself. Or you could legitimately put them on produce or meat bags when you buy produce/meat and have a clear conscience. That's what they're for after all. Or ask a neighbor if they have some....See MoreFirst Open House. Link to listing.
Comments (15)I would also agree about the family room picture. When I first saw it, I thought "Is that man levatating on the screen?" The entertainment center is large, but I asked the advice of several people. The general opinion was that if you removed it, you need to replace it and when you start putting small scale things everywhere, people will notice & think nothing "regular" size will work in a room. Anyway, I think he was going for an "overall" shot of the family room, which is at an angle and hard to shoot. I would have had the TV off, and used one of the additional shots available for the fireplace. But I don't see it as horrible nor would it keep me from looking at the house. I personally wasn't bothered by the site, music or voice on the virtual tour. But then again, after looking for 2 years, I get excited when I see something that has potential. What I notice (and bothers me) is when the pictures are taken with out any care. I've seen the vacuum out in the middle of the room. Broom & dustpan propped up in the corner. Empty toilet paper roll in the bathroom and/or crumpled up hand towel on the countertop. There was even one I saw recently where the back yard moving shot captured a line of dirty patio planter pots full of dead plants. I sure tired a lot harder than those folks did! Thanks again, I love getting the feedback and will share it with the Realtor. I'm sure he would have no problem retaking some of the shots....See MoreHelp! Comments (5)Yes, Villa Grey looks very Celery on the wall (I have it in a bedroom, North & East light) I would go with SW Alabaster. a warm white that will look whiter in the light and warm, not yellow in the north light. (not to mention, it goes well with darker colors, so if you plan to do a dark accent somewhere, it's very soft. That red wall would look nice SW Naval (a deep clean Navy) Personally, I would paint the ceiling and all the woodwork SW Alabaster for a fresh look, and to open up the space....See MoreFirst Open Bloom of The Year -- "Old Town Novato"
