Joey, One of the easiest ways to provide your photo to be embedded into a post is to upload it onto an image hosting site such as Photobucket, Flickr, etc. That should be pretty straight forward, and the individual sites will give instructions on how to get your photos uploaded to their site when you sign up. Once your picture has been uploaded, find its web address by right clicking on the image and copying the image location. Some sites may even provide your image's address in a text box below the photo for your convenience. Let's say, as an example, that the address of the picture you want to post is http://somepicturesite.com/yourpicture.jpg To embed the picture into a post, use the command: img src="http://somepicturesite.com/yourpicture.jpg"> If your picture is too large to fit nicely into the text page, you can add a width attribute. I am still out in la la land. I was just looking at this 40gal hex aquarium I have that has a cracked side and wondering just when in the blazes I will be able to get around to turning it into a terrarium for some African Violets. I really love African Violets but I have no place for them in the house that is suitable. The best I ever did with them was in an old office where the flourescents were on 24/7 and it was even temperature! I am hoping that once I get my roof work done (I am re-roofing my house myself) I will have more time for alot of other stuff. I do have bowls in which I grow different Selaginella species out in my greenhouse-do they count???

If you wish to cloak you post, you'll have to resort to using fake names and places. You do have to sign in to chat on this forum - its a rule of its makeup. Many of us are not using our real names for security reasons, but have created 'handles', same as the old CB days and truckers. Admitdely, some of our handles are cutesy and are readily recognizable by those close to the poster. Below are some things you could do. However, this will not guarantee that the origin of your chat messages will remain a mystery to the person about whom your are discussing. 1. Create a user name known only to you. 2. Never use the real name of the person being discussed. Create fake names, if necessary, to differentiate between two or more persons in the post. 3. Do not reveal any geographical location clues. 4. Do not reveal the relationship of the person in question to youself, such as DD for dear daughter. It is possible that the person in question is smart and will figure it out anyway based on a unique set of circumstances. And most of important: No. 5: Don't do it. This forum is open to the public.

Thanks everyone! I figured it out, with everyone's help and I guess I did have my privacy setting to no PMs. Just fixed that. When we first moved to Houzz I was getting hundreds of emails from here notifying me when someone posted on a thread I just only read. So I went in and said NO to every setting, lol! Guess some settings are necessary. Thanks again. :)
