Upload photos to Photobucket.

Once you got the pictures uploaded left click on the 3rd url below the photo to capture it.

Then type in your Gardenweb title and text and right click the photo.

Preview will show the photo as it will appear.

Excuse my stupidity what is the Photobucket? I tried to load a photo from my computer to here and no way.

One of the easiest ways to provide your photo to be embedded into a post is to upload it onto an image hosting site such as Photobucket, Flickr, etc. That should be pretty straight forward, and the individual sites will give instructions on how to get your photos uploaded to their site when you sign up.

Once your picture has been uploaded, find its web address by right clicking on the image and copying the image location. Some sites may even provide your image's address in a text box below the photo for your convenience.

Let's say, as an example, that the address of the picture you want to post is http://somepicturesite.com/yourpicture.jpg

To embed the picture into a post, use the command:
img src="http://somepicturesite.com/yourpicture.jpg">;

If your picture is too large to fit nicely into the text page, you can add a width attribute. The command with the width attribute would look something like:
img src="http://somepicturesite.com/yourpicture.jpg"; width=600>

Note that I had to use special characters to get the commands above to show up here without turning into pictures, but you can use them as shown (with the correct image web address, of course).

I'm not sure if you are just kidding, but in case you aren't, Google it!

FP, Photobucket is a free photo storage web site where you can upload photos from your computer. Open an account and upload your orchard photos. Under the photo left click on the third one below the photo. Then right click in the template where you type in your Gardenweb message. Photo will appear when you click preview message. Try it.

I like to post links to pictures instead of the actual pictures. That way the pages load faster for those who don't necessarily want to see the pictures. Particularly return visitors to the thread.
Using the "Optional Link URL:" box that Gardenweb provides for you is fine, but only allows one picture.
I put in the following for each picture I want.

(A href="http://dl.dropbox.com/u/2143073/DSCN1282.JPG";)Title(/A)
(/HTML)

But the parenthesis above need to be angle brackets instead. The URL within the double quotes needs to be your specific picture's URL. And "Title" needs to be whatever text you want shown.
This way you can mix text paragraphs and picture links as you wish.
The Preview Message button is indispensable when trying to get this exactly right.

Here is the actual command tcstoehr meant to write out...

which produces this text link...

The actual image location address (see my post above) must be used instead of tcstoehr's picture's address and the text, cat, can be replaced with whatever you want. Also, the html body command isn't needed here.

OK, thanks everyone for all of the replys, I am going to put them on photobucket and try that route, sounds fairly easy, and I have been wanting a photobucket account anyway.
