Goat cheese tip

I made my husband a spinach salad with goat cheese and hard boiled eggs. He complained that though the salad was delicious, the goat cheese was too chunky. He was right. I had trouble getting it smaller as it was very soft (even tho it came from the fridge) and stuck to my fingers. I wondered about putting it in the freezer for a while and then trying to slice it.
