Thanks, kitch! You’ve been a big help! I think I like that look best as well. I have just been admiring that big light blue pottery barn vase for a long time now and was excited to try it out. Maybe down the road I could try it on the floor in front of the mantle (at this point my toddler would have a field day with it!). Debating if I should keep it or return it and possibly rebuy later. Got it for about $100 during the friends and family sale. Hmm... What do you think about these looks for my mantle refresh? I appreciate your input! :) Option 1: current look + new throw basket (I’ll probablt put a burnt orange throw in the basket) Option 2: new vase with eucalyptus leaves + new plants on each side Option 3: swapped out the leaves for berry stems Option 4: removes small plants from left Option 5: Swapped out small plant for a slightly different plant Option 6: swapped out plant for one in a tin vase Option 7: swapped out the small plant for a small white vase Option 8: basically same setup i have now, with the addition of the vase! I really wanted to try to incorporate the mercury glass candles since I have mercury glass in other areas of the house. Any of these groupings can use the eucalyptus leaves instead of the berry stems; I just didn’t feel like taking two photos of each look! :)

I think you are off to a good start! If nothing can be returned then keep them and work with them....I think the lamps and end tables are a bit light feeling for what you have; steel and wood might have been a more casual choice, but as you have all the basics in place then concentrate on getting a large log console with closed storage to hide clutter. A large piece of art over the wall opposite the fireplace would be nice incorporating all the colors aleady in the rooom....grey, orange, brown, white, silver, and turquoise....and make it about 2/3 width of the sofa length; bigger is better....try Cost plus old world market, Marshalls, Home Goods, or the store where you bought the furniture.....and you could try to return the tables in exchange for the metal and steel end tables and a different round cocktail table. If you love the blue, then a sapphire sofa in velvet would not be amiss.....add a pair of lounge chairs in a bright turquoise, hot pink, bright orange, neon yellow. I think a rug in grey and white would add brightness and block some of the dark flooring. Large modern are with your room colors would be great....it if often suggested on Houzz that large art can be hung and then all the colors taken from the art work an be used to design the room. A lot of white works nicely with silver and cream. Keep the grey but add two colors all over the room Cherry red with black white grey accents Subtle yellow/cream/honey and white Lime and grey and white Tres chic if you like traditional Bright blue sofa with pop of orange.

thank you richfield95 - I love that blue. Yes, it is a TV room. I'm planning on the TV against the back wall on something open or simple (I like rustic contemporary) and the couch will be on the tall wall facing the window with a slim console table behind. Lil S - THANK YOU! I will try to look into that closer!! Beverly - Sigh. I know. I'm just really over white walls. I have been accenting white for so many years and I'm kind of over it right now. It is still a consideration though. How do you feel about one blue accent wall. :) Pandtkendall - All the flooring was selected and viewed in the house and I have fabric samples of the sofa. I've run it them both past the C&B person (she helped me pick the couch color based on the carpet I brought in) and then took the color we selected back to the person at my flooring place who will also help me with window coverings. It's just the paint that I really need direction on. :) And the accent chairs. I have NO idea what color I should go.
