Rob, thanks for saying something, cheating is a very strange character trait, to me.

Not that long ago I said I would check my answer. If I was wrong I put nothing if I was right I put my answer. If you have seen how few answers I have put that tells you how many times I've been wrong. lol But I never looked up answers to cheat. Just to verify my answer. And even then I've only looked things up a few times and most times it was out of curiosity but would never put an answer if I just looked it up for fun. And it's just a friendly quiz game what's the point in cheating?

I agree Rob. I don't think of it as "cheating" I think some posters might not realize that they're not suppose to look up the answer. Anyone can do that. Sometimes we retain some ridiculous info in our brains and that may be the case, but sometimes one thinks 'you couldn't possibly have known that unless you looked it up'.

I've gotten to the point, I'll post my answer. After, I look up what it could be. And if I get it right, I will delete it. I'd rather see some others answer, especially if they're suggestive. That's right dees, I'm talking to you.

Rob??? I'm confused; I post what pops in my head....if I look it up, it's after I post but I never change my answer/remove my post. If I have no clue, I'll usually make some SWAG. I answer with fun as the intent.

In 2016, after I had been the first person to correctly guess the answers to a couple of the daily trivia contests, I was accused of cheating. (It wasn't even on consecutive days that I "won.') I do not cheat, and I was really ticked off to be accused of it. So, I started an Excel spreadsheet. It's easy to do a search in the KT for "Trivia Quiz."

Going back as far as June 30, 2011, I kept track of the date, the winner, the question, and the answer. It was very enlightening to see which names came up the most often as the winner(s).

I quit keeping track in 2016.

I read the trivia question every day, but I don't often post a guess. But when I do, I have NOT looked up the answer.

Lindsey, I'd love to have you start playing/posting again.

No idea on this one but I love the cute answers.

One can get a pretty good idea about the number of times a person is winning the trivia by using the 'search in gardenweb' option, clicking on 'search in Kitchen Table' when the box opens. Just type in the entire screen name of the person in question at the beginning of your search.

No one should be embarrassed or nervous about winning the trivia game, but when it becomes 10, 20, or more games......., lol.

I'm a teensy sensitive about it. Several of used to play Trivia competitively but it was impossible to stop the cheaters. We stopped playing, as did many others.

Jazzy's game is fun and lighthearted and we continue to enjoy it for the silliness and friendship.

I kinda think it should be a jar of jellyfish. However, I think the collective term for a bunch of Man O War should be a flotilla.

Some people are just really good at trivia....while some excel in other areas. Maybe someone should start a daily thread entitled Silliest Answer or some such. Cheating is a no no, but so is accusing someone without proof. Just my 2 cents.
