chairs won’t slide on matte floors

We have a natural matte, less than 10% gloss, finish on our timber floors which we love however one unanticipated problem is that furniture wont slide on such a low gloss finish. For chairs we have tried every felt protector thing we can find. The stick on, and nail in, ones wont slide so you pull chair out and pretty quickly the felt pads work off as they aren’t able to slide. We have tried epoxy glues, no luck. Has anyone found a solution?
We have put a rug under sofa to solve that issue (needed felt pads to stop scratches from minor movement when you sit down, but they worked off in no time) but it rather defeats the purpose of timber floors if we have to put rugs under every chair in the house.
