3' granite backsplash needed if plan to tile backsplash kitchen?
Comments (5)With a granite backsplash, you'll still have a seam so it defeats the purpose stated by that granite guy. Only time I see tile over a 3" granite backsplash is when they are done at different times (change in homeowners or you decide to add tile in the future). Comments (8)The tile guy came and made some suggestions based on the space and the 7 outlets. I then went to a very nice tile showroom. The saleswoman was incredibly helpful. Given the size of the area and more importantly the fact that we keep the toaster, coffee machine etc on the counter (and that won't ever change) she helped me decide on simple is better. But the feedback so far seems to really support the idea that it goes well under the window....See MoreKitchen refresh: my New DIY matte/glossy backsplash and busy granite
Comments (17)Someone posted a reveal recently, confessing that she felt a bit unsure about her results, especially her BS. I know the feeling. I feel as if I've betrayed the prime directive when I see my BS paired with the counter. But my DH loves that granite so much, and I decided to get the BS I was going to see from the livingroom couch. And, yes amyfgib, my mare is the color of my lower cabinets and my gelding is white, brown and black. :) Thanks to all for your posts. It really is a kindness to take the time to tell a stranger they have a pretty BS....See Morecindycrutsinger
