I think your options are limited and you realize that you will have a traffic pattern going through the room, but what about placing a sofa on the wall opposite the "fauxdenza" (not sure what that even means), and a coffee table in front of the sofa? It's hard to see what's on that wall with the stairs, but if there is room place a chair and ottoman angled to the right of the sofa (as you look at it). Then add an occasional table near the chair/ottoman. A chaise longue is more difficult to use in a small space since it's so large and all one piece. The chair & ottoman combination is more flexible since you can move it easier or break it up if necessary.

It's important to note that our t.v. MUST go in here and have enough seating for our family of 4.

And a fauxdenza is just a string of Ikea cabinets mounted to the wall. Not one single piece of furniture like a credenza. Gotta love storage!

Do you already have furniture?

i would take the fauxdenza down....put the TV on the stair wall with a long low console that goes across the entire lower long portion of the wall...set TV to the left on the console...than add a basket to the right top of console for magazines...books....toys.best if it has a lid.

You didn't get a reversible chaise did you? That would probably have been helpful. The picture looks like it can be flipped.

Yes, it can be flipped, however, we plan on buying new things. So the layout can be adjusted to fit whatever. I just needed to nail down a new layout in order to start buying the new furniture.

No the sofa does not HAVE to be used. The mirror is staying above it. Tv needs to go elsewhere. Sorry. It's all a bit jumbled

How long is the credenza on the wall? Is it centered on that side wall?

It's 12.5ft, starting 67in in from the front door

7.6’x9.6’ L shape sectional squared no curve...max size in length.....32” max on depth...console behind sofa for providing a small entrance area for shoes and console to provide lamp behind sofa..max 24” deep...tv on stair wall.

Cozy seating for the family...

the wall between the windows can have a large piece of art on it and drapes on windows in a lightweight fabric to soften the space would be great..what colors are you hoping to introduce into the room?...love the white shiplap and white credenza with sconces...great start..

Instead of the coffee table you could do 2 upholstered square ottomans that can be moved around to put your feet up for watching TV..depends on if you need a hard surface.... if you will be eating/snacking....some ottomans do have flip tops with tray very functional for families.

Budget on sectional?
