Fireplace Wall Paint Color Advice Needed
Comments (5)I would paint the wall behind your fireplace to give it "pop" as your focal point. Same color as wall would have it blend into the wall. I like this color, but the key question is what other colors are you working with in that room? You could pick up a color that pleases you from an area rug, a painting, or throw pillows. ( It looks like the former homeowner picked up that burgundy-brown color from the floor?) Also, there is a lot going on (visually) in this scene. I would declutter a bit and re-think the accents on your mantel and mantel wall----clock is small. Focus on cohesiveness and balance. Hope this helps!...See MoreNew Haven Stone Color Cabinets - need help picking wall paint color
Comments (7)I'm biased because I just finished painting my kitchen and hall this color but ... Eider white? It is a little warmer but also so pale you almost think it's white until you see it against white trim and ceiling. It does not read as beige or yellow at all to me. As to the cabinet color ... it all depends on your budget and if you like any of the woods that are available. I chose a stained wood because I like wood grain and wanted something super durable against dings and dents. Maybe see if they have any wood cabinets that are not overly red or warm, it looks like you really like gray so I'm guessing you like cool colors?...See MoreHelp! Comments (26)If we could see your furniture and your style, we could make better recommendations. The wide fireplace would be perfect with MCM or modern style. furnishings. But you may be more transitional or farmhouse or another style. You have the good fortune that you can place the 2 focal points, fireplace and TV, right side by side, with the TV over a low cabinet on the hearth. That makes good functional use of the hearth area, so you don't need to think about removing it. Floor matching would need to be attempted if you remove the hearth, so not easy....See MoreHelp! Comments (24)@BeverlyFLADeziner I am liking that! Any suggestions on a blue paint color? Thoughts on if this rug could be placed in the room? (Pic of our current family room) or too much blue? https://www.potterybarn.com/m/products/bosworth-tufted-wool-rug-blue/?cm_cat=Google&sku=9076063&catalogId=84&cm_ite=9076063&gclid=EAIaIQobChMI0cX79KG96AIVOv_jBx1m0gEnEAQYASABEgLD-_D_BwE&cm_ven=PLA&cm_pla=Rugs > Patterned Rugs Any chance you could make fireplace maple again but keep everything else blue? I like the idea of keeping that to tie in to kitchen. Thank you!!...See MoreUser
