Adding heat pump or A/C to my existing high-efficient furnace

Sam

Hey all,

I live in Seattle, and would like to add A/C or heat pump to my existing 10-year old, high efficient furnace (Lennox g61, 2-stage, variable speed, 90%). I know that I would not gain at all by adding heat pump in terms of efficiency. However, it might help my costs when I change the furnace after 5 years (given that the furnace has 15-year lifespan). What are the pros of adding a heat pump to existing high-efficient furnace? Should I just stick to the A/C?

Thanks in advance!
