mixing metal finishes

We are working on a remodel of an open floor plan. The kitchen has stainless steel appliances and we ordered a stainless faucet and cabinet knobs/pulls. The foyer light and kitchen pendant lights we wanted are polished nickel. Is it a mistake to mix brushed nickel and polished nickel?

The dining area is open to the kitchen, so would the metal finish of the dining chandelier need to match pendant lights?

It's looking like most of the lights we like only have a polished option for nickel finish, so wondering if it will look odd if all of the lights are polished nickel and just the kitchen faucet and knobs/pulls are brushed.

We had also planned to change all doorknobs to brushed nickel, but don't want to move ahead with this just yet if all light fixtures will be polished.
