I took this shot this am to post here to express my frustration over more winter weather! Unfair!
I come inside and DH says, did you see him? Him who? I didn't even have my glasses on when I took the pic so I didn't see anything but the snow. I looked at the picture and yep, there he is! Do you see him?

Comments (19)Thanks for the kind comments. I got lucky with the flag. I was driving past a car dealership and saw the interesting design created by the way the wind had wrapped their large flag around the pole. After dropping off my passenger, I drove back just to take a photo of it. Luckily the wind didn't change the design during the interim! It is fun seeing all of the photos members put up--usually stop by one last time before computer shut-down to see any late posts. Bubbles and interesting perspectives--such creative minds and talent! Nicole, that photo is unreal it is so beautiful; wish I had a 2'x3' of it to decorate my wall because I can't stop staring at it. Flowers, animals, and reminders of places I've visited, and locations I have never been. And I swear, lgmd_gaz has to have cornered the world market for unique picture puzzles. Comments (11)I've been working on an old 8 day shelf clock. It had belonged to my wife's grandfather and we estimate that the clock was 70 yrs old when he acquired it. I have completely refurbished the mechanism. It was taken apart, chemically cleaned, shafts straightened, 10 bushings installed where pivot holes were worn, reassembled, lubricated, and a couple of timing parts adjusted (by bending - It was designed for this), new weight cords installed, and finished adjusting the pendulum a couple of days ago. Its now running like new and my instructor says it should be good for another 50 years. The mahogany case has many cosmetic issues and I need to fabricate keys for the doors. These were lost long ago and replacements are not to be found. I have plans for repainting the glass windows and my nephew (the cabinet and wood worker) is willing to construct the missing top decoration if I supply him with plans. This clock is a "Jared Arnold, jr" built in 1830 in Amber, NY. Many clock makers of that period bought brass strap movements from Bristol, Connecticut and put those into a clock cabinet of their own design. However, the authors of a clock book thinks that Jared Arnold made his own gears based on comparing Gear teeth counts to known Bristol movements. Arnold made this clock style for about 3 years and then sold his business to his partner. The case design changed at that point. Therefore, I can date this clock to within 3 years. An appraiser thought it was one of the first year's production based on the penmanship of the hand lettered clock face. The pinkish smear and light area on the clock face are artifacts of light reflections and are not part of the face. The face is in better condition than it appears here. Hand-stitched 'tapestry' (?) at an art fair in Tarpon Springs. It is hand-sewn very-fine stitches on cloth. Done by a gent from Viet Nam.

Bon Jovi in concert.DD made the card and added the little ticket stubs to the saddlebag, a tattoo sticker in the boot, a jar of 'bad medicine' (aka Tic Tacs) on the handlebars and of course a lovely red rose! It was a great surprise - I feel like a kid.

8 years agolast modified: 8 years agoI think since you saw fox-like prints and scat that didn't seem cat like, it's likely a fox. Foxes will catch birds if they can and with the extended winter, likely they'd hunt anything that moves. They give birth very early in the season (at least around here) - could be someone hunting to feed pups.
I think foxes look more feline than canine sometimes - similar fox faces to your pic:
