Comments (33)I think since you saw fox-like prints and scat that didn't seem cat like, it's likely a fox. Foxes will catch birds if they can and with the extended winter, likely they'd hunt anything that moves. They give birth very early in the season (at least around here) - could be someone hunting to feed pups. I think foxes look more feline than canine sometimes - similar fox faces to your pic:...See MoreI'll Show You Mine If You Show Me Yours - Mon 4/30
Comments (13)Stray kitten I rescued from a busy street. It was night and she was very hard to see in the dark. She was the sweetest little thing, but we couldn't keep her. It broke my heart to turn her over to the shelter, but I figured that at least she was safe from cars and other dangers, out of the weather (it was winter), being fed and had other cats to socialize with....See MoreI'll Show You Mine/You Show Me Yours - Mon 6/11

8 years agoI've got a few pictures to show. Saturday was a big day for us! We participated in the annual Ride for Dad motorcycle charity run to raise money for prostate cancer. Hubby was the Honourary Ride Captain. He and I both got to ride in the front pack.
There were over 550 motorcycles, of all shapes and sizes. Crotch rockets, Harleys, Trikes, sports bikes, cruisers, etc.
For the parade, we were escorted thru the city by the police, with sirens bleeping and lights flashing. Going thru all the red lights with the red-light cameras off was a blast. People were pulled over to the side to watch and out on the streets.
This was my driver and his bike. A gorgeous 1700 Kawasaki and it was so comfortable! Thanks Ken!!!
This was where the parade ended where we could use the facilities and water and apple chips were provided. We then carried on for a few more hours thru the countryside with pit stops and a poker run. It finished at the police association where there was a barbecue and announcements of the winners of the poker run, 50/50 draw the the highest pledges. The highest pledge raised was $4400 and his prize was a set of Harley exhaust pipes worth $1,000.
This is Gloria's bike. We've really struck up a friendship. She was riding behind me and said I was having so much fun in the parade waving to everyone. She was thrilled that we enjoyed it so much.
8 years agoJasdip, love your pics. I really miss my days on the back of a motorcycle and those 'rides' for charity.
My spiderwort is brilliant white. Really lights up a shady border.
