I want to escape into the lush green solitude in both Annie's and lgmd's photos.

Well, come for a visit, rob! That pic is of my back yard...

And my pic is across the street in my neighbors yard. I am sure they would welcome you Rob...after you visit me. Deer frequent the tasty plantings here as well and take advantage of the bird feeders.

I long for the green...this winter has lasted so long and we still have snow on the hills. :(

Green :o)

I miss green too. And blue. We have 2" of fresh snow this morning. *sigh*

Ok here's some more greenery. I picked up some new hellebores for our flower beds. This is pink frost.

Our snow has melted away with the warmer temps and lots of rain. However it's almost always sunny in Los Angeles. My picture is from a trip to the LA County Arboretum.

Grateful for rain. And our local vegetation controllers.

In my yard last year:

Bob, wonder who was the leader of that herd?

Dogwoods are beginning to open up.

Wow! We've got another 6 weeks before we see dogwood...

I was thinking the same thing, but I'm wrong. We only have two more weeks until Dogwood time. Awesome!
