what color trim color goes with white dove kitchen cabinets
Comments (10)Our cabinets are BM Gardenia, a very warm white. We matched the trim to the cabs, including the baseboards. For the ceiling, we went with BM ceiling white, whatever that is. For us it worked out well. The business of "layering whites" has worked out well for many posters on this site. Personally, I think, that except for the ceiling, as long as there is some separation between the whites, you can have almost as many shades as you like. Like you, we also went with a grey-ish color for the walls. Ours is a 50/50 mix of BM Metallic Silver and Pidgeon Grey. If you're looking for a light grey, look at BM Metallic Silver. It was too light for us, but it may work for you. Also, keep in mind that paint is the easiest and least expensive thing to change. Comments (37)Either way you go: Buy extra tile. Buy extra tile. Buy extra tile. At least one full box if you can. Even if you run it under the cabinets, tile can gouge, it only takes one drop of a heavy pot. I honestly can't say it enough. The previous owners of our house laid tile to sell. They put the same tile in the kitchen, powder room and laundry room. It's a pretty decent, neutral tile, but they only left 6 tiles. Yup. That's it. We're changing the cabinet layout and obviously the tile did not run under the cabinets. The tile has now been discontinued and 6 tiles wasn't enough to work with so after only 3 years we're having to rip it out. I hope nothing major happens in the other two rooms....See MoreOK..Cabinets are in..What goes where?
Comments (2)I would start by thinking about what you use where. Do you prefer to have glasses close to the fridge or close to the sink/DW, for example? I'm sure you'll get lots of good suggestions here, but the best thing is to stand in your kitchen and pretend to cook, serve, and clean up. Then you'll see where things come to hand....See Morewhat cabinet color goes with Cambria Kendal?
Comments (15)This is a very colorful slab if you are wanting to stay neutral. I would go to a local place where you can view the slabs keeping to whites with tan, grey, black veining or mostly white. It should be something that goes with any other colors to be a true neutral. Similar to a lot of the ones in your ideabook. You can easily change out accents and wall colors to change the color of the room without a remodel. A butcher block island top adds warmth to the white kitchen along with wood floors and accents....See Morecali59
