That's not the information on the website about recalls. It said: "The company decided to start the recall because a sample of their Classic White mix tested positive for Salmonella." The recall notice stated: "Several of the individuals reported consuming a cake mix at some point prior to becoming ill, and some may have also consumed these products raw and not baked," It didn't say anything about batter, or whether the mix was prepared, and my take from the information from the CDC was that the mix itself tested positive for Salmonella. Otherwise why would the company say that a "sample" of their mix tested positive? Annie
