I bought it online, filled out a medical questionnaire and the ‘in house’ dr issued a prescription. I looked in my records to find source but could not locate. Feel fairly certain it was thru the latisse website but again, can’t find my paperwork. On a recent visit to my real eye dr, I mentioned the use of latisse and similar products; he expressed no concern. I have no eye problems though. Anyway, felt safe enough using the online doc given that I have no probs.

I get mine through a cosmetic surgeon's office. Last fall they offered some products at special pricing and I got three bottles of Latisse for the price of two. I'm still on the first bottle, but it's close to gone. It works out at an affordable price.

I was at Kaiser recently in seeing an opthamologist for an unrelated issue and we talked about the length of my lashes and how I got them. He had no concerns.

Through my dermatologist (she was having a special the last time I purchased and I got the 5 ml bottle for $110). She suggests using only one drop for both eyes, applying with an eyeliner brush rather than the bulky brushes that come with the product. You use less and the product goes right at the base of your eyelashes rather than all over your eyelids. I do make some use of the supplied brushes by using their sterile plastic packaging as the container for placing the drop of Latisse.

I also got mine at a cosmetic surgeons office. He discussed the use with me and also suggested I read the accompanying literature. He said only a very small percentage (1%) of users report any problems. He also said after a period of time most people go to 2-3 applications/week for maintenance.

I have only been using Latisse a few days now, but previously tried a cheap product from Amazon. Didn’t do a thing. I paid $65 for Latisse because they were running a special and I had Brilliant Distinctions rewards applied. I also apply with a thin eyeliner brush based on what my DD suggested and from reading a previous thread here. The brushes provided are huge, and one drop for both eyes is sufficient.

I buy mine at my dermatologists office. In April, I'll have been using it one year and I'm just on my second bottle. I don't think I'll be out when I see him for my annual appointment next month, but I'll probably purchase another to have on hand...his office is an hour away. I toss the fat brushes that come in the kit and apply with a thin eyeliner brush like the others above.

Hmmm.....I have a friend who’s a dermatologist. I have never been to a dermatologist but maybe I’ll check in with her office.

The instructions from Allergan specifically state not to use it on lower lashes. I’m sure that is just an FDA requirement since their studies did not include lower lashes.

I bought Lumigan (the same drug as Latisse) in Mexico. I have seen an improvement in length, but not volume.

Terriks, how long have you been using Lumigan? At first I got the length and eventually the rest filled in more. I don't think I have more hairs but they grow more and give the appearance of more volume. The part that amazes me is how much darker they seem. Although I was a committed mascara-every-day wearer, I really don't need it anymore. Crazy!

ETA: Although my hair is very gray, my lashes and brows have remained dark.

I started the Lumigan about a week before New Year's. I took the bottle with me on my 7 week trip to Guatemala (just got back to the States yesterday) but ran out towards the end of February. I also brought a lash serum that I had purchased on Amazon, and used that when I ran out of the Lumigan. I bought another bottle of Lumigan at an airport pharmacy during my layover in Guadalajara. Hopefully, I'll get more volume as I continue to use it.

I put it on my lower lashes too.

So I bought the Rodan and Fields. Never got around to putting it on, for weeks and weeks,, I don't know why. Put it on once or twice, then went to Florida and packed it with me. When I got home, it was gone. Trying to decide if I will buy more ...

Now that I've been back to using the Lumigan for a few weeks I'm starting to notice a little more fullness!

Someone on another Latisse thread mentioned she got 6 months out of one bottle. I didn't think that was possible. However, in 5 days it will be 6 months since I started using my first bottle and there's still a tiny bit left. In that time I may have missed no more than 4-5 nights, so that's a pretty good bang for the buck. And my eyebrows have gotten a slight boost.

Mtn, I've been using Rodan lash boost for about seven weeks. I can see a difference, especially when I apply mascara.

I checked out that Minute Clinic info - $59 for the lash lengthening consult. I also see a Latisse price of $59 at CVS with a GoodRX coupon. I think I might swing by my local CVS and give it a try.

I can’t find the post but I’ve been using Rodan & Fields for nearly 90 days. Initially I experienced mild itching at the lash line and brow but it went away. I noticed fuller brows after about 60 days and finally, after 90 days, lashes are looking fuller and a little longer. Just bought my 2nd tube for $133 on eBay.

Ive not been using it even a month. I think the pigment of my eyelids is a bit darker, ruh roh.

I’ve been using Latisse for a month now and can definitely tell my lashes are longer. I can’t tell they are fuller yet, but maybe they are a little bit. My lashes are really fine, so it is really hard to tell until I put on mascara. My eyebrow hairs are longer too.

I didn’t think you could use latisse on eyebrows. Has that changed?

Why couldn't you use it on your brows? If it works so close to the eyes (lashes) what harm on the brows?

One drop is way more than you need for both lash lines. I remembered reading something online about it working on brows too, so after I apply it fully to my lashes, I split the remainder on my brows. It has made a subtle difference, more filled in, esp. on the outer parts.

However. I found many, many references to people using it for brows. I think I would apply on brows nowadays and not be concerned.

I've been quite pleased with the length, and now fullness that I've gotten from the Lumigan (generic Latisse), and last week I had my eyelashes tinted, and what a difference! I wake up looking like I have mascara on. In fact, I haven't applied mascara since the tinting was done, and I don't usually leave the house without it. The salon that I went to offered tinting for only $20. They also do eyelash perms and tint for $80, but I'm quite happy with the effect of the tinting alone. I was told that it should last 3 - 4 weeks.

I've also seen eyelash tint kits on Amazon, with lots of great reviews, but I'm not sure about doing it myself, though I have been dyeing my eyebrows with Just For Men beard and mustache dye with great success.

terriks, I used to not leave the house without mascara too. Since I've been using Latisse, my eyelashes seem naturally darker. It is like waking up wearing mascara. I do apply it now and then for a more finished look.

I think i've been using it about 4 weeks now. The pigment issue is either my imagination or it went away. I can *feel* that my lashes are longer, especially in the corners of my eyes. Looking forward to the full impact after the proscribed 10-12 week mark.

As far as lash-tinting, i had that done a few years ago for a beach vacation (hate waterproof mascara). The person who does my brows could not do it, because, she told me, she was licensed in Mass. and in Mass. they do not allow it, so she was never taught lash-tinting. This gave me pause.

I would carefully consider the frequency of last tinting, and I absolutely would not DIY.

Have you been putting a little Latisse on your lower lashes? I know it said not to do it, but I tried it just on the outer fringes for a few weeks. Then I seemed to be getting some eye irritation (just watering & a little stinging, not anything major) so I quit. May have been allergies, as they have been bad for me this year. So I might try again. No problems otherwise.

I've been putting Latisse on my lower lashes for years with no ill effects and great results. I use a fine eyeliner brush and apply it underneath the lashes, not above the lashes.
