It is the only brand I use. I get the red bag for multiple cats even though I only have one cat. The green bag is good also. Be sure not to get the purple bag. It is lavender scented and smells worse than cat poop!

I dip daily, but have never flushed it. It claims to be flushable.

It comes in a 7 pound bag also. I forgot to say that the clumps don't fall apart usually, but if some does fall off, it doesn't smell.

When we still had cats, I used World's Best and loved it. Definitely worth the price. It wasn't "dusty", didn't track much at all, the cats liked it. I agree with above post to not use the scanted one. Try it -- I think you will be pleased!

While we had a cat, 10 years, we used Cat's Pride, Fragrance Free and never noticed any odors. We scooped three times a day and that makes a difference.

I've used World's Best for the indoor cat going on four years now. I do like it for its clumping ability and keeping smells at a minimum, but I think it does track and is dusty. It could be that I fill the pan too full, but I keep a folded vinyl tablecloth under it to help catch tracked and pushed out litter. If only she would COVER her deposits it would be even better. For some reason she just covers the pee. I scoop whenever I detect usage.

It's too expensive to use for the two male indoor/outdoor cats' five litter boxes in the cellar. I use a cedar/pine sawdust clumping litter there. The one cat tends to half- squat and spray, which doesn't lend well to clumping. I'd like to replace the litter with something else eventually.

I definitely don't want anything that would track. Maybe scooping more than once a day like Brushworks does would help. Brushworks what kind of cat box do you use?

I do have a bath rug under the box to help with tracking, but I remember one time using a dusty lightweight litter that tracked no matter what.

Wonderful litter. And flushable. Yet I am buying a related brand these days. Garfield. Same make up. I get three small bags a month via amazon.

Scott, I went and looked. Is one of the bags enough for 1 cat box? It says it is hard clumping and non tracking, that's what I want. Did you ever use The World's Best Cat litter and if so how would you compare it to the Garfield litter?

A 14 pound bag lasts up to a month. I just dump the 14 lb bag in all at one time.

My cat is a big male and I have a huge litter box. A normal size box would use a 7 pound bag. Like this one:

We no longer have a cat, he passed away last July. The pan was simple, low profile with cut out for easy entry. We used a grass (like artificial turf) rug to catch litter upon exiting the pan. We'd roll the rug and dump the litter in the pan.

The rug was similar to this one.

I no longer have cats either, but finally settled on World's Best as truly the best I'd ever tried. I love how well it clumps, so you don't have to change the whole litter box very often at all. No scent in the litter itself and it kept the box from smelling, too. I did not find it dusty or trackable (or at least less so than any other brand). So long lasting, totally worth the price.

One bag of the Garfield is big enough for one cat box. I think it clumps deeper and better than the Worlds Best. It still tracks. But thst could be her running around after litter time. She tends to get excited then. It is not dusty though. I got a rubber mat beneath the box but she still tracks it.

I think I will order some of the World's Best and hope it doesn't track for her, but keep the little rug I have for tracking. I have to unlatch the top of the box every day to scoop, I may go to twice a day but realistically I don't think it is going to happen 3 times a day like Brushworks did with his cat.

Our cat refused to use a litter box with a top over it so we complied with his wishes.

had always been a dog person... BIG dogs. after i lost last dog, realized a 90-100 lb dog just was not reasonable any more. decided to adopt from animal shelter but every smallish, young-ish, NOT puppy was scooped up in a heartbeat. walked into cat room and a little fuzzy arm reached out and i was hooked! my sister was/is my cat adviser. house is split level so she said TWO litter boxes... cat was teeny when she adopted me. also said don't go cheap on litter. had no idea which brand to pick so went for one in middle of price range... ended up being Cat's Pride. works well, good price and cat uses it.

I've been thru several brands lately and ended up with World's Best. I even tried Dr Elsey's and discovered urine would cause it to turn into concrete and stick to the bottom of the litter box. Constantly scraping the box created small bits left mixed in the litter box. World's Best has never stuck to the box and even if small pieces break off of a large clump, they're still easy to scoop up.

Don't know why, but it seems a large bag lasts so much longer than other brands I've used (and I'm filling 4 boxes!). Guess it clumps so well there's less wastage.

4 cat boxes is a lot of boxes to keep full of World's Best, but if as you say it clumps better, it seems like it would make scooping easier.

I wonder if my daily scooping would go faster if I just left the top off the box. But the only place for the cat box is the bathroom. An open box doesn't bother me but do you think it would bother guests?

It is much lighter in weight also, which is another reason I like it. I scoop well and add more to the box without totally emptying it sometimes. I wish I could flush it, but my husband is dead set against that and it isn't worth the argument. Which my luck the pipes would stop up for another reason, but the litter would get blamed for it.

An open box wouldn't bother me! My cat doesn't like it open though.

I have been a guest and have been bothered by the “open box” in the bathroom. Granted, some hosts are more careful than others. To me, crunchy bits of litter under foot, and an obviously seldom-scooped litter box are bothersome.

The litter box is in my bathroom also. I don't care for it there and it was suppose to be temporary. As stated above, I'm always checking to see if it needs cleaned as I would hate a visitor to be exposed to a dirty litter box. The tile floor helps with sweeping up. However, I would like to find a better spot some day. The only other place is in here, the computer room, except there are wooden floors (old ones with gaps between boards). I wonder how long it would take my cat to get used to a new area? Anyone change the location of the litter box without much trouble?

Yes in my previous house I changed the location from the bathroom to the laundry area with no problem at all. But in my present apartment there is no other place. I guess I'll just keep the cover on even with it scooped out I just don't think an open box is something I want guests to see even if it would not bother me or the cat.

However, whether the box is covered or not, I do feel that if it is not scooped out and kept clean, people should not have a cat.

I put mine in my bedroom. The bathrooms are too small. That is why I got the box I did. It just looks like a carpeted bench. The links are in a post above.

Good luck to you! With every cat I've had, it seems like the litter has to change. What works for one cat didn't work for another. With the cat I have now, he is VERY sensitive to anything that has a scent. If he uses scented litter, he licks big bald spots on his belly fur that touches the litter when he crouches. Vet says it's anxiety related, but with unscented litter, it hasn't happened in 5 years. We now use a common brand of litter that is unscented and clumps well and absorbs odor very well, but it tracks like crazy. Guess that's the trade off- I bought a dust buster...

I'm not sure my cat would use a covered box or one with a swinging entry door, but have never tried. A note about moving the litter box, I have to tell the story of one time having a plumber to make a repair and I figured he'd need more room to lay down tools,etc. So I moved the box under the chiffarobe in the bathroom, there is like 7" or so from floor to the top of the bottom of the chiffarobe. After the plumber left, I forgot to move the litter box out from underneath. Would you believe that my cat used the litter box there?? She had crouched down and somehow managed to sit (or lay?) in the box to do her business. I figured she must have been desperate!

Perhaps I'll start working on the move this weekend. See what happens.

My cousin has two cats. She decided to move her litter box but was worried the cat would be confused and just go on the floor so she moved it slowly a few inches every few days. I suppose the box was in her way for a bit but it worked. I read a pet forum once in awhile and seems a lot of people have problems moving the box or changing litter brand.

Maybe some day I'll get a tiny fluff ball. Too bad Chip has asthma although I don't know if a cat would be a trigger for him. I plan to ask his asthma doctor next visit.

I just moved it to the computer room. Knowing how I am about change, I'll probably end up moving it back to the bathroom and not because I think the cat is confused. ha

Had to go to Walmart yesterday and looked but did not see TWBCL, so I ordered it from them online. I also ordered another bath rug identical to the one under the box to extend the carpet area so that no litter gets tracked onto the bare floor.

Mama, without testing it is difficult to know for sure, but cats are responsible for a lot of allergy related asthma. Interestingly, many allergies are to the cat's saliva rather than the hair or dander. With Chip having asthma, it might be better to do the testing prior to getting a cat. Many people who are allergic do have cats, there are many ways to decrease the allergen, and you keep a very clean house, no chance of dust mite or allergen build up on your sheets. But still, if the trigger of having cats leads to very severe asthma events, it is best to know ahead of time in order to make an informed choice.

Many cats end up in shelters because someone in the household has allergies. A cat may or may not be a trigger for an asthma attack.....it depends on a person's triggers. it is best, imo, to take necessary steps to determine if having a cat, or any pet, is a good idea.

Currently we are using Arm and Hammer Clump and Seal. Have you tried that one, Lucille? I like that it is available in the stores in case I don't order on time, which is how I ended up with that one.

Worlds Best is carried instore in Petsmart, Petco, Pet Depot, Walmart, Target, & Publix that I know of. I usually pick up at Petsmart.

I don't order stuff like that online, but a lot do, including my son. He get the World's Best litter, disposable litter pans, the cat food he uses, and a lot of the groceries they use from Amazon. He has it set to auto order and ship.

My daughter has 4 cats and uses 2 of these, no lids. She started it when one cat was afraid to go into a hooded box. Seems to work well. but she uses plain clay litter, can't remember why.

Sherry I guess they were out of it when I went yesterday. I'm going to try it, if I and the cat like it I will get a back up box so I never run out.

I had an old bag of clay litter in the cellar and decided to supplement the litter boxes down there when I ran short of my usual brand. Ugh. The smell when the box had been used was awful, at least to me, made me gag as I cleaned it. However I believe the cats prefer the texture of the clay and it's probably healthier i.e. not clumping or scented.
