Can anyone tell me what tree this is....
Comments (9)It does resemble Chinese Pistache, but the fall colors and the colors of the berries are wrong. Soapberry is still the best possibility. It have read that lichen doesn't feed off the trees, but I've had trees it grew on get weaker and lose much of their leaves over time. And I've had them improve , when I've scrubbed off the lichen and removed as much of of the affected wood as possible. But that is only possible on the small trees....See Moreoleanders, can anyone tell me what might be wrong w/ mine?
Comments (2)not to worry! that looks like a pretty happy oleander. soon you'll probably be at that thing with pruning shears to keep it from eating the rest of your yard unless it's in a spot where it can get big and not hurt anything. I was given an oleander by my neighbor who had it in shade, so it wouldn't grow. It was a straggly 3' tall twiggy thing with two sets of leaves. Within a few months of being moved into full sun, it took off. Unfortunately, I planted it right next to my driveway, so I'm pruning the darn thing every month right now just so I don't graze it with the car every day. I'll be moving it this fall. Now, a question for you: I take it you like plumeria? I bought one in Hawaii once, but never could get it to grow. It just shriveled up. What part of TX are you in, and what's the best way to get one started? Pot size? Soil type? Fertilizer? Water usage? THANKS!...See MoreCan anyone tell me what might be wrong with my Loblolly Pine?
Comments (3)Without seeing it, I can't say! It could be so many things, even damage from the builders. (You said you live in a new house.) And there is Fusiform rust being found in loblolly pines. I think that you need to contact the Harris County Master Gardeners. They might have a suggestion, and it doesn't cost you anything....See MoreCan anyone tell me what this chandelier might be worth?
Comments (9)Do you have the bulbs for it? Might be very hard to find. Those that want a rustic, old west look but husband more into it than wife, she might like that as the lights are fairly dainty & might ease the pain of "wild west" in the den or family room. They used to be popular years ago, I've been in houses with some. Some actor had home he gave to state in L.A. & it has lot of that kind of stuff. Should sell well on ebay to someone trying on the "west" for size!! Place Prince Charles was playing polo & I think he got hurt a little. Tom Mix maybe??...See MoreJeanne Smith
